    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Burnley launch the ball up to Chris Wood as they look to try and snatch an equaliser but Eric Dier defends well to deal with the danger.

The Clarets will need a stunning turnaround to avoid their winless run so far this season continuing.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Tottenham

Jose Mourinho will have breathed a huge sigh of relief at that goal, which looked like it was never going to come.

The visitors make a second change as Giovani Lo Celso replaces Tanguy Ndombele.

    Son Heung-min

    The magic duo combine again!

The deadlock is finally broken as Harry Kane heads on an Erik Lamela corner and Son Heung-min reacts quickly to flick home a header.

That's the 29th time the duo have combined to score. If I were a scientist I'd be having my eye on these two - they just have to be telepathic!

Now Son Heung-min races into the box but he delays his shot and allows Kevin Long to get the block in.

Wayne Ellis: People would prefer Burnley to play open, expansive football and get beaten 3-1 or 4-2 every week? They play to their strengths, whether that’s easy on the eye or not, and it’s served them well over the years.

Ben Kellow: I like seeing different styles of football being played. It would be boring if every team played the same way

  6. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane might not get a goal today but he may well have just saved his side from defeat as he clears James Tarkowski's header off the line.

    He's everywhere!

  7. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Oooh Eric Dier gets away with this one as his hooked clearance hits Chris Wood the bounce has the striker in on goal but play is pulled back with the ball having hit Wood's hand.

ReindeerHotDog: Burnley seem to suck the life out of any football match in which they play but they've actually had three times the amount of shots as Spurs tonight with half the ball. Mourinho has got this one horribly wrong - simple as that. Unless he thinks 0-0 is a good result?

Matt: As a Blackburn fan, I've taken plenty of stick recently on Burnley's current league position, but if the price of Premier league football is this defensive, turgid, anti football bore fest, you can keep your Premier league thank you very much

Is anyone going to come in to bat for Burnley?

  9. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Another corner by Tottenham, another clearance by Burnley as this time Ashley Barnes cleans up.

Slightly, slightly more bite in the final third from Tottenham, but not really enough to have Burnley worrying yet yet.

  10. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane tries to find Eric Dier with a ball into the box but the ball is flicked behind for a corner, which Burnley then deal with comfortably.

  11. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Now there's nice movement from Son Heung-min as he peels away from a crowd to meet Matt Doherty's ball into the box but he can't keep it in play.

  12. Postpublished at 60 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Not enough Tottenham players have been willing to make the runs or show themselves for the ball enough in this game.

Erik Lamela is at least doing that since coming on and is a little unlucky with his control after making a decent run into the box for a low cross.

Jim Dale: This is just the sort of game you can see Bale coming on for the last 10... & getting clobbered by Ashley Barnes, resulting in a 6 week lay off. Is there a worse team than Burnley to watch at any level, anywhere in the world?

    Bit harsh, Jim!

  14. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Toby Alderweireld has been a rock despite that early injury and he puts himself in the way of a decent Chris Wood shot.

James Tarkowski then has a free header from the corner but puts it well wide. On comes Erik Lamela for Lucas Moura.

  15. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

There's movement on the Tottenham bench... it's not Gareth Bale just yet, though. Erik Lamela is getting ready to come.

  16. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Tottenham have tried on several occasions to find some joy by going direct and Toby Alderweireld tries to find Harry Kane with a ball from deep but Kane is penalised for a foul on Matt Lowton as the two challenged for possession on the edge of the area.

  17. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

A poor ball by Ben Davies is intercepted and Josh Brownhill has space in front of him but hits a dipping effort wide of goal.

Tottenham need to be careful with their passing, that is not the first time a bit of lax play has almost been punished.

  18. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

Good defending by Burnley as they force Tottenham, who were on the edge of their area, all the way back to Hugo Lloris.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Burnley 0-0 Tottenham

We're back under way at Tottenham, who will be the first to find a breakthrough?
