Better from West Brom, but probably too little too late at the end of this half.

  10. Postpublished at 43 mins

West Brom respond to going behind by finally pushing further up the pitch. They are holding possession well but struggling to create in the final third.

GOAL - Brighton 1-0 West Brompublished at 40 mins

    Jake Livermore OG

    Awful defending.

A bit harsh on Jake Livermore that he will have own goal next to his name as there's not much he can do.

It is good play by Brighton to create the chance as Adam Lallana's shot is blocked, Tariq Lamptey picks up the loose ball and squares across the face of goal. It doesn't look like it is going in but Branislav Ivanovic steams across and hooks the ball into Livermore's face and the ball defects into the back of the net.

Scrappy, but Brighton will take it.

Touch number four inside the Brighton box sees the ball skim the top of Karlan Grant's head before Darnell Furlong lashes a shot well over.

Just three touches inside the box for West Brom so far. They had the game's first chance but nothing of note since.

  14. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

Leandro Trossard again tries his luck through the middle. He drives into a pocket of space before letting fly from the edge of the box and it is another strong shot but again too close to to Sam Johnstone.

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

Leandro Trossard has a pop from outside the box, well struck but straight at Sam Johnstone.

Really good spell for the hosts at the moment.

  17. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

Another corner for Brighton as Solly March's cross is deflected behind.

Leandro Trossard's delivery is headed away but the respite is only brief for West Brom as the hosts pick up possession again.

  18. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

"Get out" booms Slaven Bilic. The West Brom players have dropped very deep as a result of this bright spell from Brighton and Bilic is desperate for someone to get further up and provide an outlet.

  19. Postpublished at 26 mins

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

Semi Ajayi prevents Tariq Lamptey from getting the ball but concedes the game's first corner as he does so.

The set play is played deep to the far post and Dan Burn is there but he miscues his attempted volley.

Brighton are stepping things up, though.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 24 mins

    Brighton 0-0 West Brom

    Lovely football!

Brighton break quickly through Leandro Trossard, who drives a great ball through the West Brom defence and finds Adam Lallana inside the box. The midfielder could shoot but instead squares for Neal Maupay but his shot is superbly saved by the feet of Sam Johnstone.
