I'd imagine many neutrals probably didn't anticipate this fixture to be a thriller and so far they are probably correct. It has been a fairly even game, but one of few chances.

Tariq Lamptey is in space on the right and he whips an inviting ball into the box but Branislav Ivanovic prods away.

Adama Lallana then plays the ball in and Neal Maupay volleys home - lovely clean strike but he is well offside.

Oh a lovely ball over the top catches out the Brighton defence and suddenly Grady Diangana is in but his first touch is a poor one and takes him away from goal and the chance is gone.

Just the two away goals so far this season for West Brom. They certainly need to find a way to be more effective in the final third.

Sam Theodoridi: There's plenty to be happy about with the way Brighton have been playing. The only poor performance was at Everton, where we never seem to play well. We need to be more clinical up top, but most football fans will have said that about their club at some point.

The visitors have the first shot on target but it is catching practice for Mat Ryan, who comfortably gathers Filip Krovinovic's effort from the edge of the area.

Potterball, not quite as sexy sounding as say Bielsaball but it certainly has been nice to watch at times this season.
