  1. 'Mourinho wants winners'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Tottenham v Brighton (19:15 GMT)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

When he was at Chelsea Jose Mourinho never spoke out about the changing room.

That dressing room was full of winners, it just managed itself.

And now he comes to Tottenham and he can see that the atmosphere is why they're not winning trophies. That's why he's speaking out.

  2. Arsenal should be in frontpublished at 17:21 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    The visitors should be ahead.

Bukayo Saka had a free header in a central position six yards out. Aaron Wan-Bissaka didn't even jump.

  3. 'Mourinho's post does not have negative impact'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Tottenham v Brighton (19:15 GMT)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

On Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho's social media post...

What do you want Jose Mourinho to do?

All people want to do is moan. He has given insight [via his social media post] into how he feels after the game which is essentially what every player is doing these days.

This [post] does not have a negative effect.

He has turned up to a football club with a smile on his face. They're playing some good stuff. There is more than one way to run a football club.

Who knows [if it's right]. For me it opens the door to a bit more of Jose. If he left the league tomorrow we'd all be saying we miss the personalities [of certain managers].

When he was at Chelsea and he was a master of manipulating the media and getting through to his players - it hasn't suddenly changed because he now has social media.

As long as the team is responding in the way it is right now it's not a problem.

Still a game to come on these new-look, supercharged, extra-long, all you can watch Sundays of course...

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

Zero added time, which is fair enough.

Arsenal the better side but a drab affair all round to be honest. The home side have got a lot of work to do. Change of shape?

  6. CLOSE!published at 44 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

And that is a chance! A really good one. Hector Bellerin clips in a cross and it's a good one, Bukayo Saka has drifted into the centre-forward role, completely unmarked, but he heads powerfully over the top.

Should have, at the very least, tested De Gea.

  7. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

A brief attacking interlude for the hosts as a cross comes out towards Marcus Rashford, I thought he might try a scissor-kick but he brings it down and is pinged for handball, which looks harsh.

  8. 'United looking towards the break'published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 Arsenal

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's the best chance we've had.

Man Utd just need to get through to half-time.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 39 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

Closer still! Victor Lindelof in the wrong this time, he's caught on the ball from a throw and Arsenal swarm on the ball. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang lays it back to Willian, he shoots, dips it over David de Gea but onto the top of the bar and out.

    Unlucky!

Ash Williams: This game is absolute garbage. All the supposed ‘quality’ on the pitch and it’s sending me to sleep.

Erick: I hope I'm wrong but this has 0-0 written all over it. Horrible watch so far

  11. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

Another half chance for Arsenal, is one of these going to add up to something firm sooner rather than later? Again Thomas Partey is the instigator with a lovely ball out wide, Hector Bellerin's cross makes it through to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he pulls it back and Alexandre Lacazette is left shooting solid Stretford air.

Looks like a terrible swipe until you spot Victor Lindelof's toe getting the ball away.

Good from Willian, adept at finding space. He turns and runs at United, looks for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over the top but he can't gather it in at full speed. Half an opening, which is about as good as it gets today.

Thomas Partey again showing that game-breaking turn of pace he's got, just over 10 yards or so but he can break the press so well.

Arsenal have been much more impressive do far but it's still been largely tepid stuff. A bit better than the Chelsea game here at least.

  16. The rain is making a noisepublished at 17:01 Greenwich Mean Time 1 November 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 Arsenal

    Simon Stone

One of the things about no fans is you can hear lots more of what is happening around the stadium.

Evidently, that includes the players and coaching staff, plus the officials on occasion.

Today you can also hear the rain hitting the roof of Old Trafford's main stand.

I am going to get absolutely soaked on my way home later.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 27 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 Arsenal

And now Rob Holding's defensive partner Gabriel joins him in the book for some wrestling. It's an interesting line-up for the Gunners, it's basically a back four but Hector Bellerin plays so high up the pitch it's a back three when they've got the ball.

'15th v 12th' not really a fair representation this early, Arsenal win by 2 goals and they are into 3rd. Still so so early in the season with big teams all dropping points.

    Pete, Essex

Let's not forget that United still have a game in hand - win that and today, they'll be right back in the mix

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 24 mins

Willian whips in a dangerous free-kick and Paul Pogba clears it away. United then look to counter, Kieran Tierney covers the ball into Marcus Rashford's run but Rob Holding is booked for taking out Pogba late.

What a ball! What a ball!

Straight across the box, into Greenwood's feet. It's a difficult effort but the ball was perfect from Rashford.
