  1. Goodnightpublished at 00:47 British Summer Time 6 October 2020

    As suspected, no late deals appear to be on the horizon. If anything comes in overnight then rest assured we'll have it covered in the morning.

    Thanks for your company this evening - it's been a LONG night!

  2. Postpublished at 00:08 British Summer Time 6 October 2020

    We'll linger about for a bit in case there are any late announcements of deals that were being hammered out right up to the deadline.

    Wouldn't hold your breath, though...

  3. Postpublished at 00:01 British Summer Time 6 October 2020

    There you have it, another transfer deadline day passes. It was nothing like the usual circus, with a longer window cutting down the need for last-minute deals, plus the economic conditions created by Covid-19.

    I knew there were a few of you still awake...crawling to the finish line here.

  6. Title race questionspublished at 23:49 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    On paper, both Celtic and Rangers have come out of this transfer window stronger.

    Both Glasgow rivals held on to key players as well as adding in so-called weaker positions. It doesn't make the title race any easier to call, that's for sure.

    Though, given previous evidence Celtic will remain many people's favourites to win the league again.

    Scientific poll alert...thumbs up if Neil Lennon's side will win 10 in a row, thumbs down if Rangers are the ones lifting the trophy come May.

  7. 15 minutes left...published at 23:45 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    It's the final countdown. Probably the least tense countdown ever.

  8. Postpublished at 23:39 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    I mean, there's not even a sniff of a late deal at the moment. Where's that tumbleweed picture again...

  9. Postpublished at 23:32 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    By my reckoning Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Hamilton are the only top-flight sides not to make a signing today.

    A sign of good planning?

    So, who do you think will make the biggest impact at their club of all the summer signings so far?

    Albian Ajeti has hit the ground running at Celtic, while Kemar Roofe has looked impressive for Rangers. Alex Gogic adding steel to Hibernian's midfield? Danny McNamara bombing down the flanks at St Johnstone? Or Ross McCrorie tearing it up for Aberdeen?

    Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @BBCSportScot.

  13. All quiet at Fir Parkpublished at 23:12 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    Motherwell

    Scott Mullen

    Motherwell have been fairly busy in this window with several coming in and out, the most high profile being David Turnbull's departure to Celtic.

    Many Well fans had feared he would be followed out the door by midfield dynamo Allan Campbell, with Aberdeen and Hibernian both reportedly interested.

    It looks as if supporters may get their wish and hold on to him, unless for a dramatic last-minute swoop. Fifty minutes and counting...

  16. Forwards staying putpublished at 22:55 British Summer Time 5 October 2020

    It could be that the best bit of business some clubs in Scotland have done this window is keep hold of their best attackers.

    Celtic's Odsonne Edouard, Alfredo Morelos of Rangers, Lawrence Shankland at Dundee United, Sam Cosgrove at Aberdeen, Christian Doidge of Hibs and Ross County's Ross Stewart all seem to be staying put.

    Given the demand for goalscorers it's unusual that many Scottish clubs have been able to hold on to their prized attacking assets. The post Covid market may have something to do with that.

    There's still an hour left of the window, mind...

    Here are the players Rangers have recruited this window.

    • Cedric Itten, forward (St Gallen, undisclosed);
    • Kemar Roofe, forward (Anderlecht, undisclosed);
    • Ianis Hagi, midfielder (Genk, loan to permanent, £3.15m);
    • Jermain Defoe, forward (Bournemouth, loan to permanent);
    • Leon Balogun, defender (Wigan Athletic);
    • Jon McLaughlin, goalkeeper (Sunderland);
    • Calvin Bassey, defender (Leicester City);
    • Bongani Zungu, midfielder (Amiens, loan with option to buy)

    Assuming that's their lot - do we think it's enough to finally topple rivals Celtic in the Premiership?
