Don't know about you, but I'm just relieved something has happened given I have another hour and a half to go of this shift...
"I have studied the squad and feel I can come in and bring my attributes to help the team improve," Bongani Zungu told Rangers' website.
"The chance to play for such a big club especially in European competitions is very exciting for me.
“I can’t wait to fly to Scotland and meet my new team mates. I know that I will settle in Glasgow and am looking forward to getting started as soon as possible."
So, you have your midfielder. Happy Rangers fans?
Zungu seems to be out of contract at Amiens in the summer, so the option to buy element of this deal is interesting. Presumably Rangers get first option on him, in return for a small fee. But who knows.
Anyway, Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson has explained the club's pursuit of the midfielder.
"Bongani is a player whose situation we have monitored throughout the window," he said.
“Following a difficult and prolonged period of lockdown in South Africa, it would have been hard for him to have joined us at an earlier stage of the window.
“However, we have kept an open and positive dialogue with Bongani and Amiens, and the structure of this agreement works well for all parties."
Rangers' deal for South Africa international Bongani Zungu is a loan with an option to buy.
Manager Steven Gerrard says: “Bongani fits the profile of player that adds further strength and depth to our midfield. We made it clear that we wanted a player who will enhance our squad and starting XI. We believe Bongani does this.
“We wanted a dominant midfielder with the right profile who can enhance the team and compliment other players we have . We have monitored this situation all summer and now feel it’s the right time.

Worth noting some of the departures at Hibs - Florian Kamberi, Daryl Horgan (who they got money for), plus loanees Marc McNulty, Stephane Omeonga, Jason Naismith and Greg Docherty.
You would think that would've saved a chunk off the wage bill to allow them to bring in the likes of Kyle Magennis, Kevin Nisbet and Jamie Murphy.

Has there EVER been a new signing presser at Celtic or Rangers where the player doesn't open with the 'successful club, loadsa trophies' line?

These are the players Celtic have brought in during this window. Looks very good on paper. Will it translate into an unprecedented 10th straight title?

Are Celtic trying to tell us something?
Dundee United manager Micky Mellon is pleased to have got Marc McNulty through the door at Tannadice.
“Marc's an international player so he'll bring the qualities of a player who has played at the highest level," he said.
"He's pacey, clever and fantastic in the 18-yard box. You only have to look at his goals-per-game - he scores everywhere he's been.
“We're looking forward to getting him in and working with him with the rest of the group and, hopefully, pushing him as well towards getting back into the Scotland squad on a regular basis.”
Marc McNulty represents decent business for Dundee United as they bolster their attacking options.
The Scotland striker joins on loan from Reading until the end of the season.
Are things starting to hot up?
