    HT: Aberdeen 1-0 Celtic

    Quote Message

I haven't seen much from Ajeti in this game. Maybe Leigh Griffiths might come on. Will Neil Lennon make that change now or will he leave it for ten minutes? He has to do something, because he can't lose this game.

  3. 'It's a legitimate penalty'published at 12:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    HT: Aberdeen 1-0 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It was an expertly taken penalty by Lewis Ferguson. There was unnecessary contact in the box, the referee was right on the spot and right to give the penalty. Some people may say it's soft but I'd say it's a legitimate penalty.

  4. 'Smash and grab' for Donspublished at 12:56 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    HT: Aberdeen 1-0 Celtic

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

It is a bit of a smash and grab for Aberdeen so far. They have the lead in a game Celtic have dominated. A classic case of not making possession count.

Some big questions now for Celtic to answer. The Dons will take huge confidence from the way the encounter has played out so far.

  5. Ferguson fires Aberdeen in frontpublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    HT: Aberdeen 1-0 Celtic

It was a very well struck penalty from Lewis Ferguson and that takes the midfielder on to seven goals for the season.

  6. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 1-0 Celticpublished at 12:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

Well, well, Aberdeen have an unlikely lead at the interval thanks to that Lewis Ferguson penalty.

There haven't been many chances but Celtic had been dominating possession.

  7. 'Really awkward' challenge for penaltypublished at 12:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 1-0 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It looked really awkward, Ntcham was the wrong side of him. All he had to do was stand up, he was going nowhere.

  9. PENALTY TO ABERDEENpublished at 12:44 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Completely out the blue, Aberdeen have a golden chance to go in front as Lewis Ferguson is bundled over by Olivier Ntcham.

Clumsy from the Celtic midfielder, who was on the wrong side of his opponent.

  10. Postpublished at 12:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Christie link again at the edge of the Aberdeen penalty box but the latter's lofted delivery cannot find a team-mate in green and white.

  11. Postpublished at 12:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

The hosts get bodies forward for the first time in ages and it gives Celtic the opportunity to spring a counter-attack. However, Albian Ajeti sets off on his run too quickly and is offside, just as Andrew Considine muscles him off the ball for good measure.

  12. Aberdeen on the ropespublished at 12:35 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

They've been pinned back, they've not got any control of the game at all.

  13. Celtic well on toppublished at 12:33 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Celtic are really pushing and probing at Aberdeen so far. The Dons will need to try and stem the green and white tide because if it stays like this you get a feeling there is only going to be one outcome.

  14. 'Celtic's best chance'published at 12:31 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

That was a huge chance. Elyounoussi spun around the back, he got away from his marker and he was absolutely free at the back post. It came off the side of his head when he really should hit the target. That was Celtic's best chance of the game so far.

  15. Postpublished at 12:30 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

A nice turn inside the box from Ryan Christie but the Celtic midfielder's shot is diverted wide by a late block.

From this corner, Mohamed Elyounoussi heads the ball down into the mixer but Aberdeen scramble it clear.

  16. Postpublished at 12:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Connor McLennan is on now as a Celtic corner, whipped in by Ryan Christie, bounces off a defender in red and goes out for a throw-in on the other side.

  17. Postpublished at 12:27 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Dylan McGeouch is struggling with what looks like a groin problem and Connor McLennan is getting ready to come on for the home side.

  18. 'Both managers will be reasonably happy'published at 12:26 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

    Willie Miller
Former Aberdeen defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Celtic have had the better of it, they're playing with a lot of confidence and passing the ball well. They haven't created too many chances, Aberdeen are defending well. I think both managers will be reasonably happy.

  20. CLOSE!published at 12:20 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Celtic

Now we have some sunshine as Olivier Ntcham lets fly from around 30 yards out and the ball skips off the wet turf and whizzes just wide.

Joe Lewis was scrambling there, the Dons skipper at full-stretch and relieved to see the shot go past.
