  1. 'Mourinho has the players he needs'published at 17:23 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Tottenham v Manchester City (17:30 GMT)

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Spurs are really in the groove at the moment. They're actually quite good to watch right now.

Mourinho’s come in and it reminds me a little bit of the first Chelsea team he had. He’s got those players who can get up the pitch really quickly.

Tottenham can really hurt teams on the counter.

  2. 'Lamptey was incredible - despite red card'published at 17:22 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to BBC MOTD: "We've had four penalties against us this season so you are not quite sure what's going to happen.

"We defended well as a group. Our second was a really good team goal and a great finish by Solly March. I'm pleased for him because he influences games."

On Tariq Lamptey's red card: "I thought he was fantastic. I haven't seen the challenge back. I'm not sure if it was worthy of a yellow. Regardless of that he was incredible. We are very happy with him."

Ex-Leeds Utd striker on Final Score

I’d say Spurs are favourites. Let’s not hide from the fact that Man City have so much strength but they just seem off it at the minute.

When you look at Spurs, Mourinho has done brilliant with the acquisitions he made in the summer.

He’s shored up the defence, he’s made the midfield a lot more sturdy as well.

They’ve got a manager who is a serial winner. Jose Mourinho is just that, he knows how to win. That gives them the edge.

  5. Southgate should name managers who pressure players - Mourinhopublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Now we've all seen the stories about top Premier League managers being unhappy with their players going off on international duty. But who is actually telling players to pull out from representing their country?

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho says England's Gareth Southgate should name managers who put players under pressure to withdraw from international duty.

  6. 'I'm not sure what is and isn't a penalty anymore'published at 17:17 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Graham Potter speaking to BT Sport: "Danny Welbeck was fantastic. It's clear he influenced the game well and took his goal well. He linked up with the team and was incredible out of possession. He defended when he had to and he brought his personality as well so I'm really pleased for him. That's his first full 90 minutes so there's definitely more to come from him. But he influenced the game really well and I'm delighted for him and the team."

On penalty decision: We've had a few against us so I'm not sure what is and what isn't a penalty these day. I know Solly [March] touched the ball so we're just happy it went our way this time."

Brighton match winner Solly March: "It's a massive win. We've not been in the best of form but we have been playing well. We deserved the three weeks."

On the penalty which was overturned: "For a moment I had my heart in my mouth but I got a bit of the ball. I haven't seen it back but sometimes with the follow-through you cannot avoid making contact."

On his goal: "My right foot is not the strongest. I just wanted to hit it well."

  9. 'Pep always shows class'published at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City (17:30 GMT)

    Tim Cahill
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

I think Pep Guardiola signing a new contract is an indication of him showing commitment to the club - he's always shown class in dealing with media and protecting his players and the club. Regardless of whether the team are winning or losing he shows class.

I feel it's great for him and it's whacked away people saying he's not going to sign and he's going to go somewhere else. I like the fact that he's just got it done and signed.

  10. Pep's staying at City, but no sign of Messi?published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Superb from Oliver. March got a touch and the striker was on his way down, nowhere near enough contact to be a foul.

Great refereeing....finally. Well done Mr. Oliver.

A lot of praise coming in for referee Michael Oliver. It's nice to see.

Hugo Flaxman: The lesser spotted correct use of VAR. Looked for all the world a penalty at first glance, checked, and the right decision was arrived at. Makes a nice change.

Nick: Trezeguet went down like his legs were chopped in half. If he stayed on his feet he would have had an opportunity at the second ball and make something of it.

  15. 'It wasn't a penalty'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Brighton

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton forward Danny Welbeck: "It's a very important three points. We've had some good performances but today we got the result as well. I'm obviously happy to get off the mark with the goal. I just kept my cool and slotted it over the keeper."

On the decision to reverse the penalty at the end: "He got the ball didn't he? There is contact, it's a difficult one, but it's not a penalty."

A brilliant win for Brighton. After the frantic first half, you knew it had to slow down at some point.

They got control, they retook the lead, and barring the penalty incident, they looked comfortable.

Jon Evans: Was that really 'clear and obvious'? Judging on the length of time it took I would say not.

Sorry, so as long as you get a touch on the ball you can kick your opponent in the shins after and it's fine? Ridiculous VAR again.
