The fans responsible for sorting the flags at Old Trafford have made one in tribute to legendary England and Manchester United midfielder Nobby Stiles, who died on 30 October.

Stiles remains one of only two Englishman to start in winning World and European Cup winning teams.

It is incredibly sad that, like Stiles, the other, Sir Bobby Charlton, is a dementia suffer.

  3. 'We know there is a long way to go'published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    Spurs 2-0 Man City

Tottenham captain Harry Kane to BBC Match of the Day: "It feels pretty good [to be top of the table]. It will feel even better if we are still there at the end of May.

"We know there’s a long way to go but if you go top it shows you are doing the right thing.

"We just have to take confidence from these games into the games coming up.

"We knew they would have more possession than us, we didn’t quite move the ball as much as we wanted. Sometimes when you get a goal early the tendency is to drop off. But we knew would get chances on the counter and we got one to finish the game off nicely."

On his partnership with Son Heung-min: "Sonny has been clinical this season. The first goal was really good.

"Different spells in the game we created good chances, we have a great understanding and when he finishes the chances like he is it is great for Tottenham Hotspur."

Man Utd v West Brom (20:00 GMT)

Manchester United have won all three Premier League away games this season but have only taken one point from their four home league matches.

They have only failed to win any of their opening five home league games twice before - in 1930-31 and 1972-73.

United are winless in six top-flight home matches since beating Bournemouth on 4 July. Their run could extend to seven games for the first time since February to March 1978.

  8. 'It’s a more open league - we have a chance'published at 19:41 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    FT: Spurs 2-0 Man City

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham skipper Harry Kane speaking to Sky Sports: "Fantastic performance, we knew it was going to be a tough game.

"We had a game plan to play as a unit. Everyone worked their socks off today. We took our chance, Sonny with a great goal. And then we knew it would open up in the second half

"I knew if I dropped deep then the centre-backs would come with me and Sonny could run in behind. We dropped deep, probably more than we needed to, but we changed that at half-time.

"It’s a season where you’ve got to do all it takes to win games. It’s going to be an up and down year. There’s no better feeling when you win. We’ll enjoy it, but we know we’ve got a long way to go.

"We’re doing well, there’s still parts we can improve on. We’ve got a lot of tough games to go. It’s a more open league. Like any season, whoever can put a good spell together will have a good chance of winning."

  9. Lawro's predictionpublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Man Utd v West Brom (20:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Manchester United have not won at home in the Premier League this season but that really has to change on Saturday.

United had a very good win at Everton last time out but, on top of their collapse against Spurs, they have struggled to break teams down at Old Trafford, notably when they lost to Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the season.

I think this is just the way United are at the moment, and the lack of a crowd certainly doesn't help, but I still expect them to find a way past the Baggies.

If they don't, they have got big problems.

    Prediction: 3-0

Dave Payn: Call it bus-parking, whatever. Spurs have actually been very good to watch this season but Mourinho knew exactly how to beat City and it seemed to me that he executed the plan perfectly.

Kev mcveigh: For the 6th time in 8 games it looks like Pep '5 subs' isn't even using his allowed 3

Hugo Flaxman: I've been following Spurs for a loooong time and for the first time feel this is a team that has everything. They can turn up & wallop a team, or they can sit back, soak up pressure & hit on the counter. They are composed & focused. Such an unfamiliar experience!

Paul Pogba aggravated an injury on international duty in training yesterday so misses out for Manchester United this evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes the Frenchman will be available for Tuesday's Champions League encounter with Basaksehir, although given he didn't complete yesterday's session that must be open to doubt.
