On Alfredo Morelos matching Ally McCoist's European goal record for the club:

"Incredible. Ally McCoist is a legend at the club. The difference is Ally went on to win many awards. We hope Alfredo can one day add medals to his collection as well because he's a top class forward."

On Rangers' impressive defensive record this season:

"We want that to be our base for us to go and attack from. We don't want to be involved in basketball games when you've got to waste a lot of energy chasing the opposition. We want to be organised, set and aggressive, the players did that tonight."

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has a mixture of pride and frustration at his side's thrilling draw in France.

"I was delighted with our approach to the game," he says. "First-half, we were outstanding and on the counter-attack we could have won it.

"There was some great performances. It’s a point and keeps us very much alive in the group.

“It says a lot when you come here and are disappointed not to win."

Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer looks set to miss that semi-final against Aberdeen after going off injured in the second half tonight.

“He felt his groin go, so it’s not great by the looks of things," explained manager Neil Lennon.

"We’ll have to see how long he’ll be out for. He’ll be a doubt for Sunday."

Rangers and Celtic will go again on Sunday.

Celtic play their long-delayed Scottish Cup semi-final from last season with Aberdeen, while Rangers can open up a nine-point lead at the top of the Premiership if they get a win at Kilmarnock.

Kemar Roofe didn't get much of a look in up front for Rangers before he was replaced by Alfredo Morelos.

It also sounds like his long-range beauty last week is no longer a Europa League record since Jordi Gomez of Omonia Nicosia thumped one in from even further out this evening.

Ah well, it was nice while it lasted... And I'm sure he'll never forget that strike against Standard Liege.
