  1. French connection not so hot for Celticpublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2020

    Lille v Celtic (17:55)

The hosts have never met a Scottish side in Europe before.

Celtic have plenty of experience against French opposition though. Just last season they drew 1-1 away to Rennes and won 3-1 at home on their way to topping their Europa League group last season.

Overall, however, Celtic's record in France is not great, with just one win from nine attempts and five defeats.

In Glasgow, that improves to five wins and four losses.

    Lille v Celtic (17:55)

The home side make five changes from their weekend draw at Nice, perhaps with an eye on a big game at home to Lyon on Sunday.

Turkey striker Burak Yilmaz and Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches are among those rotated to the bench this evening.

  4. Brown back for Celtic, Edouard fit for the benchpublished at 17:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2020

    Lille v Celtic (17:55)

Celtic make just one change from Sunday's 3-3 draw away to Aberdeen, with captain Scott Brown returning to the midfield engine room.

He replaces Tom Rogic, who drops to the bench, where he is joined by Odsonne Edouard and Nir Bitton, who have recovered after positive tests for Covid-19.

Goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas is also among the replacements after missing the trip to Pittodrie with a back problem.

  5. Bienvenue...published at 17:02 Greenwich Mean Time 29 October 2020

We have another Europa League double bill this evening as the games continue to come thick and fast for Celtic and Rangers.

Celtic are in France to take on in-form Lille and then we have Polish side Lech Poznan at Ibrox.

The glare is on Celtic after a slump in results, well a slump by their standards, while Rangers are cruising along nicely, unbeaten this season.
