Another one-handed save from Scott Bain as he bats away a free-kick from Yusuf Yazici in rather unorthodox style.

Quote MessageThat was a really good save. We've spoke about making big saves at the right moment and that was a big save at a vital moment from Scott Bain.
Lille 0-0 Celtic
Corner to Lille as Callum McGregor gets back to snuff out a potential counter-attack.
The ball breaks to the back post where Zeki Celik has his shot blocked. It breaks to Boubakary Soumare, who lashes the ball on target, only for Scott Bain to make a very good one-handed stop.
Lille 0-0 Celtic
The hosts are settling into a nice passing rhythm now but nothing to trouble the Celtic defence so far.
Lille 0-0 Celtic
A Lille free kick gets the slightest of touches from the head of Kristoffer Ajer and Scott Brown completes the clearance with a big hoof away at the back post.
Lille 0-0 Celtic
A promising Celtic move is brought to a halt with a foul on Mohamed Elyounoussi. Ryan Christie lines up the free kick from 30 yards and gets it horribly wrong, with the ball skewed well wide of the target.

Quote MessageThe balance of this Celtic team is far better with four at the back. The Milan game demonstrated that, it was a true game of two halves.

Timothy Weah is among the home substitutes this evening, having been limited to five appearances off the bench so far this season.
The 20-year-old son of the legendary George Weah scored four goals in 17 outings on loan at Celtic from PSG in the second half of 2018-19 season.

"We're up against a really good side and I think it will really whet the appetite of the players," Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BT Sport. "They know it's a challenge. We had good performances in Europe last season so we will try to draw on those experiences. We need something positive after losing the first game."
On starting Albian Ajeti and the return of striker Odsonne Edouard, Lennon explains: "Albian played very well against Milan, Odsonne isn't fully fit so it was an easy decision to start Ajeti. But we have Griffiths on the bench to make an impact too."
On Scott Brown retuning to the line up: "We rested him at the weekend but he came on and had a good impact against Aberdeen. I think it keeps him fresh and he's important for games like this"

Lille, who last won the French title in 2011, lost some major talent over the summer, with Victor Osimhen sold to Napoli and Gabriel joining Arsenal.
They splashed some cash to bring in 20-year-old defender Sven Botman from Ajax and it looked like they wanted Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos to replace Osimhen up front, with endless days of media speculation linking the Colombian with a move to the Stade Pierre Mauroy.
In the end, they parted with almost £25m to bring in Jonathan David from Gent.
The Canada international is yet to score but the team's current good form will be taking some of the heat off him.
Lille v Celtic (17:55)
Celtic will know they need to step it up a level as they bid to avoid going four successive games without a win.
The Scottish champions have conceded eight goals in those three matches and will really have to tighten up against a side in top form.
Lille are going great guns, level on points with Paris St-Germain at the top of Ligue One after eight unbeaten outings. The home side were a distant fourth when last season was called to a halt in March.

Quote MessageScott Brown's got to play in these games. He's got to be the leader and he has to help these Celtic players get through this dip in form.
Rangers v Lech Poznan (20:00)
It couldn't be any more different over at Ibrox, with Rangers moving along serenely, unbeaten in all competitions and six points top of the Premiership.
"Whoever is in the best form seems to get a bit more peace," observed manager Steven Gerrard at his media conference.
"You get a couple of indifferent results and that certainly changes very quickly and the heat comes in a different direction. That's the way it is.
"That's what myself and Neil have to live with. That's the job we are in. That's never going to change."
Gerrard went on to add: "My job is to guard the players from the noise, whether it be positive or negative."

That defeat by AC Milan was the middle game of a sequence of three without a win for Celtic. Something that doesn't happen very often.
Celtic were missing some key personnel against the Italians and in the derby defeat by Rangers that preceded it.
Following Sunday's 3-3 draw at Aberdeen, manager Neil Lennon came out swinging in the face of criticism.
"We've lost one game in the league and pundits are talking about me being two games away from the sack," he said the other day. "Players getting singled out, abused, criticised, it's absolutely shocking.
"I have seen two newspapers run polls on whether I should get sacked or not. I have never seen it before in 20 years I have been here.
"There's no justification for me to be sacked. None whatsoever. If things start to deteriorate rapidly, I'll hold my hands up and say, 'this isn't working, we need to look at something else'. But, at the moment, we're nowhere near that."

Rangers v Lech Poznan (20:00)
Rangers fared altogether better last week, kicking off their group with a 2-0 win away to Standard Liege.
Captain James Tavernier got the ball rolling from the penalty spot and a very good night for the Ibrox side was capped by quite ridiculous strike from his own half by Kemar Roofe.
Lech Poznan were on the receiving end of a 4-2 loss at home to Benfica.
Lille v Celtic (17:55)
Celtic opened their group campaign with a 3-1 defeat at home to AC Milan.
The Serie A leaders led 2-0 at the interval, with Rade Krunic and Brahim Diaz on target.
Neil Lennon's side improved in the second half and substitute Mohamed Elyounoussi's header gave them hope before Jens Petter Hauge settled it with a late breakaway goal in stoppage time.
Lille had gone a remarkable 17 European games without a win before they put ten-man Sparta Praha to the sword with a 4-1 success in the Czech Republic, with Turkey midfielder Yusuf Yazıcı banging in hat-trick.
