    Aston Villa 3-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have been, frankly, absolutely awful, in this half. Roy Hodgson will be absolutely furious.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 83 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

It's 10 league games without a goal for Aleksandar Mitrovic but he still may be Fulham's best bet of breaking this deadlock so he trudges on.

Southampton had a penalty shout waved away, Kyle Walker-Peters was sandwiched on the edge of the box but not one official was bothered.

  4. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Aston Villa 3-0 Crystal Palace

Palace have now conceded 10 goals in two matches after getting smashed 7-0 at home to champions Liverpool a week ago.

  5. Postpublished at 80 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Playground stuff from Stuart Armstrong - he think's he's fouled in midfield and goes over, just scoops the ball up in his arms and puts it down for a free-kick.

Which goes the other way for handball.

    Into the last 10 minutes.

    Anwar El Ghazi

Jack Grealish leads an Aston Villa counter-attack and Palace are short of numbers at the back. Ollie Watkins mis-controls the ball, but the chance isn't wasted as he lays it back into the path of Anwar El Ghazi and he lashes it into the top corner.

Great strike. Palace have a man advantage, but you would never know. Villa three up.

  11. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Southampton think they have scored but the flag is up!

Shane Long was offside, you don't even need the VAR lines to see that one, and his fine finish is a waste.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 73 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Are we going to get a goal in London at all today?

Southampton break away but André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is ont he case to haul back Stuart Armstrong and go into the book.

  13. 'Too strong, too powerful'published at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020

    Aston Villa 2-0 Crystal Palace

    Martin Keown
Former Arsenal defender on Final Score

Ollie Watkins is really working hard so he's almost negating that missing man at the moment for Aston Villa. From a Crystal Palace point of view you want more from the centre forwards.

Another teasing ball this time it's Anwar El Ghazi who puts it in. This is all about reactions in the box, ball comes into the box and Ollie Watkins is there, followed up beautifully by the central defender Kourtney Hause, just too strong, too powerful.

  14. Team news - six changes for Gunnerspublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 26 December 2020
    Breaking

    Arsenal v Chelsea (17:30 GMT)

Arsenal make six changes to the side beaten by Everton in the Premier League last time out, with Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith-Rowe, who both impressed during the Gunners' 4-1 defeat by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, among those to come in.

Mikel Arteta also includes Hector Bellerin, Pablo Mari, Granit Xhaka and Alexandre Lacazette.

David Luiz, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Dani Ceballos, Willian, Nicolas Pepe and Eddie Nketiah all drop out, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also on the bench.

  15. VAR

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

And at the same time VAR is looking at a handball at the OTHER end. This would be a penalty for Southampton...

    Not given. Game on.

  16. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

And that is close! Ademola Lookman hits a curler which takes a deflection and flies about a yard wide.

  17. goal

GOAL - Aston Villa 2-0 Crystal Palacepublished at 66 mins

    Kortney Hause

Ten-man Aston Villa double their lead. It's a needless free-kick conceded by Palace captain Luka Milivojevic for a push on Anwar El Ghazi.

El Ghazi himself takes the free-kick close to the right touchline, Ollie Watkins heads against the bar, but Kortney Hause reacts quickest to follow up with another header and it crosses the line, despite a desperate attempt from Palace keeper Vicente Guaita to claw it out.

Clearly over the line, clearly 2-0.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 68 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Good strike! Shane Long hasn't scored since February but the Saint wraps his foot around a half-volley on the edge of the area and Fulham keeper Alphonse Areola has to fingertip it over.

    Belated signs of life perhaps.

  19. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Southampton

Harrison Reed smashes in a long-ranger against his old club which takes a deflection and could go anywhere - but it goes straight at Alex McCarthy.

  20. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Aston Villa 1-0 Crystal Palace

Roy Hodgson will be wanting to see more from his team with a man advantage.

Christian Benteke is actually playing. After being quiet for the first hour, he spins and shoots and it's just wide, but he's called up for a foul.
