Everyone seems to be forgetting that every time Giroud has a prolonged run in the team he scores hardly any goals. Being a sub and "go to" man totally suits him.

Villa team talk really important. The goal seems to have sucked the energy out of their performance. Questions to be raised over the wisdom of two games in 48 hours both for player welfare and the quality of games.

If you missed the news earlier, Manchester City's Premier League match at Everton tonight has been postponed because of an outbreak of coronavirus at the club.
The latest tests have returned more positive results, in addition to those of Gabriel Jesus, Kyle Walker and two staff members revealed on 25 December.
The City training ground will be closed for an "indeterminate period".
City cited "a risk the virus could spread" among the squad with the "security of the bubble compromised".

I would love to have Giroud in the Leeds team, with the lack of aerial attack in our front line, he would get 20 + goals a season.

FranklinPaul: And that's why players like Giroud are important to the team. A senior player who was out of favour, treated shabbily at times yet he was the consummate pro, handled himself well all that time.. Take a bow Giroud.
