Simon Atkins: People seem to be forgetting, Leyton Orient v Spurs was a cup game. Cup games have an actual pressing expiry date before which they have to be played. League games can be played anytime between now and the end of the season.

Ben: Devastating week for fantasy football with multiple Chelsea changes, and Man City vs Everton off. My one and only active defender picked up a whopping 2 points. Sigh.

To those saying games are forfeited in Rugby that was agreed between clubs pre-season starting...no agreement in Premier League.

    Sam, Leicester

I understand theres health and safety element of it but if your team had 10 players injured you wouldn't be able to postpone your game? How is this unavailability much different? Both have elements of (un)luck and risk involved.

Harvey Barnes is away in the box. He tries to tee up Jamie Vardy but James McArthur is there to head it out for a corner.

Youri Tielemans takes it and it misses everyone in the box. That was a wicked ball in too!

Demarai Gray has a go but he gets too much on it. It's always rising and doesn't trouble the keeper.

Luka Milivojevic stops Harvey Barnes on the left. He tees up Jordan Ayew and Andros Townsend is fed in on the right.

The ball comes into the box for Christian Benteke but he can only head it back across goal for Kasper Schmeichel to collect.

James McArthur then gives away a cheap free-kick right on the edge of the Palace box...

Re: City call off. When Leyton Orient couldn't play Spurs due to COVID, they had to forfeit the game. What is the difference?

    Frank

It's ridiculous the game has been postponed. If City's bubble was compromised then they should forfeit the game, just like in rugby. But to say the game is postponed is absurd.

Youri Tielemans' delivery causes problems. It bobbles around - Demarai Gray getting a foot on it before Daniel Amartey's shot is blocked.

Jordan Ayew, who has just replaced Jeffrey Schlupp, then brings it out for Palace.

    Harvey Barnes

Blow for Palace, who just can't stop conceding goals at the minute.

They give it away from a throw-in and Harvey Barnes picks it up in the middle. He dances past several players, creates space for himself to shoot and squeezes it into the bottom right corner.

Vicente Guaita sees it late and barely moves off the centre.

John Pulman: I was meant to be going tonight so I am beyond angry right now. If City can't field a team then they should forfeit the game. This isn't like last season. They all know what they have to do.

Neither an Everton or Manchester City fan but instead of postponement shouldn’t it go down as a loss for Man City, like we’ve seen in some Scottish Premiership and rugby union games? Of course health of players and staff takes top priority but Everton must feel a bit hard done by and drags out an already jam packed, fixture congested season.
