This is delicately poised and so hard to call. I will stick my neck out and say it's not going to stay 1-1.

  3. VAR

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

Play is stopped so VAR can check whether Angelo Ogbonna handled inside his own penalty area while trying to stop Patrick Bamford reaching the ball. No penalty this time for Leeds.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

Someone needs to tell Patrick Bamford this is an away game. Most of his goals this season have come away from Elland Road. He outjumps the West Ham defence to send a header towards the net but it's tame and Fabianski saves.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

This a nice spell by Leeds. Lovely one touch stuff but they need to test Lukasz Fabianski more. They're not really hurting West Ham.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

Free-kick to Leeds and Liam Cooper is up to head it towards the net but Lukasz Fabianski is able to punch it away. Michael Oliver has spotted something and West Ham have a free-kick.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

If there were fans inside Elland Road they'd be on the edge of their seats. It's a gripping contest and great entertainment. Both teams are going for this.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

It's end-to-end. Fabian Balbuena is forced to head behind his own goal as a cross is floated into West Ham's penalty area. Rodrigo was lurking and waiting to pounce.

Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Said Benrahma is growing into the game, it looks like he is gaining in confidence.

He moves the ball really quickly and catches Illan Meslier off guard, fortunately for him it hits the side netting.

He is growing in stature now.

  10. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

This is being played at 100mph. There's going to be some tired legs in the second half.

West Ham have the momentum and Said Benrahma finds the side netting with an attempt from outside the penalty area.

  11. Soucek the new Fellainipublished at 20:30 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2020

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Elland Road

It was Jose Mourinho who said Tomas Soucek was David Moyes' 'new Fellaini'.

It is easy to see what he means. The Czech midfielder is a massive danger in the air but he is also a fairly formidable presence when the ball is on the ground.

Moyes has built a team he can trust. West Ham will have a good season I think.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

A chance for Leeds to retake the lead as Rodrigo Moreno creates room for himself but it's straight at Lukasz Fabianski.

He had options and that feels like a wasted opportunity.

Don't turn around. Marcelo Bielsa is going bonkers.

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

A retaken penalty. VAR. Two goals. Loads of chances. This is a belter.

  14. 'Not the prettiest of goals'published at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2020

    Leeds 1-1 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I did not feel like the goalkeeper was confident with the first corner, there is hesitation.

He comes forward, he steps back and Thomas Soucek was too strong.

The technology has got that correct, it was not the prettiest of goals but West Ham are back in it.

GOAL - Leeds 1-1 West Hampublished at 24 mins

    Tomas Soucek

Illan Meslier will not want to see that again.

The young keeper somehow allows Tomas Soucek's header from a corner to creep past him.

There's a desperate attempt by a player in white to clear but the ball has clearly crossed the line and West Ham are deservedly level.

  16. 'Work to do' for West Hampublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2020

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Leeds midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It has been a lively start, what do you expect? VAR has been at it again.

There have been chances, opportunities and it will take just one lapse in concentration.

This West Ham side has more about them, they have confidence and you can see where they are in the table, they have work to do here though.

  17. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

Said Benrahma is a box of tricks. He swivels past one player and then another but his attempt is blocked. Leeds are being pegged back.

  18. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

Jarrod Bowen creates space for himself about 20 yards out and lets fly but it lacks composure and it sails harmlessly over Illan Meslier's bar.

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown

Leeds' inter-play is definitely from the training ground under Marcelo Bielsa.

You are taught that, it is a system, it is a set and it is great to watch.

    Leeds 1-0 West Ham

Leeds have weathered the West Ham storm and are starting to threaten again.

Fabian Balbuena clears a Jack Harrison cross before Rodrigo Moreno lashes another attempt wide.

You cannot take your eyes off this. It's all happening.
