Raheem Sterling exchanges passes with Kevin de Bruyne before jinking past Aaron Wan-Bissaka into the box.

The England international feigns and then smacks a shot from eight yards out which is arrowing into the net, but Harry Maguire puts his sizable frame in the way to make an excellent block.

Big volume from the Manchester United backroom staff as they quickly close down Manchester City. City have been doing the same to United with Harry Maguire having to show composure in his own penalty area on a couple of occasions already.

City have to be the most subtly negative team in the league. As soon as a united player gets the ball, it's a foul. Pep is no better than Mourinho

People talk about Utd being a shambles but they are above City in the table. This is a very average City side

This was a sniff for Raheem Sterling, latching onto Kevin de Bruyne through ball but the England international cannot take it in his path.

    Sharp start from City.

Kevin de Bruyne is straight into the action and lofts a ball into the box which United goalkeeper David de Gea gathers without any problems.

Lots of doom around utd fans but they are above city in the league! The champions league was always a tough ask - they were 3rd seeds in their group after all.

Big game for Ole today. In my opinion his tactics were largely at fault in the PSG and Leipzig loses. I think VDB should start instead of Pogba but hopefully I will be proved wrong today.

It’s a shame that such a big game will be without fans but the game itself is still going to be a top quality game with two incredible sides so it’s going to be a joy to watch.

It’s a derby so anything goes. The fact that United lost in midweek, you could say that they’re struggling but they’re five points off top with a game in hand so they are still confident and they know it’s the type of game where bragging rights are important. City will do their best to dominate but Manchester United are Manchester United, you can’t escape that.
