Roy Fairbairn: Why on earth would Sonny want to go to Man U? If he ever left Spurs he would surely want to join a better side and Utd aren't.

Levy would never sell Son, especially to a rival EPL club!

Is there another Premier League team so reliant on the form of one player as Palace are with Zaha?

    Fulham v Liverpool (16:30 GMT)

Fulham make one change from the side that lost 2-0 at Manchester City. Mario Lemina comes into midfield in place of Harrison Reed, who drops to the bench.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is not in the squad having picked up a minor knock in training.

Fulham: Areola, Aina, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Reid, Zambo, Lemina, Robinson, Loftus-Cheek, Lookman, Ivan Cavaleiro.

Subs: Kebano, Cairney, Rodak, Ream, Reed, Bryan, Kamara.

Having made a number of changes for the Champions League in midweek, Liverpool revert back closer to their last Premier League game. There are two changes from the win over Wolves, though, and significant ones. Alisson returns in goal for Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold is in at right-back, with Neco Williams dropping to the bench.

Diogo Jota is out for at least a month through injury, which opens up a spot on the bench for 19-year-old midfielder Jake Cain.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Subs: Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Origi, Phillips, Kelleher, Cain, Neco Williams.

Francesca Gunn: I’m waiting for the Harry Kane injury that will ruin Tottenham’s season.

I think we are looking at this season’s champions. My dad is an Arsenal fan, this is painful for him.

Wilfried Zaha hobbles off the pitch - and then hobbles back on. Palace can't afford to lose him really.

Palace star Wilfried Zaha is down in pain. I think Toby Alderweireld's studs may have raked his shin. The medical team are on.

Ashwin R: Instead of Sancho, #MUFC should have signed Son.

Robert Norton: I don't suppose Son Heung-Min has an English grandparent does he? Get him in the England team alongside Kane and we're winning trophies!

Sergio Reguilon plays a poor ball to Moussa Sissoko which Wilfried Zaha intercepts. Zaha goes flying down the wing and Sissoko successfully - in the eyes of the offiicals - tackles the Ivorian.

Palace fans are insistent that was a foul - and Sissoko has already been booked - but luckily for Spurs the ref disagreed.

All five of Harry Kane's Premier League goals against Palace have been away from home.

Only Michael Owen and Jamie Vardy - both against West Brom (six each) - have scored more goals against an opponent with every goal coming away from home.

    HT: Crystal Palace 0-1 Spurs

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Unfortunately it wasn't the best goal to concede from Vicente Guaita. He had a really good first half other than the mistake which leads to a goal so therefore it's on him at the moment. I feel for him, that's the nature of being a goalkeeper, you can have a really good game but just one mistake and it could cost you.

    Southampton 3-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United defender Phil Jagielka: "It is another disappointing performance. We tried to keep it tight and got a bit unlucky with the first goal but the second put the game beyond us.

"I have not seen the first one back. The ball goes up in the air and we lose the next dual. We don't want to lose too many touches in our own box. The first goal was crucial.

We knew the next goal would be important. We started on the front foot second half but lose the ball and before you know if is in the back of the net.

"There is no hiding place. You can't get away from it. It is not pretty or enjoyable, the way things have gone. But it is only us that can get us out of it. We have to dust ourselves down now. The Premier League seems to enjoy throwing you these tough games.

"We need a result, however it comes. I'm not saying Southampton didn't have plenty of chances in the game but two ricochets are defining moments in the game. We need a result to get ourselves away from this."

  20. 'We have to keep going'published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    Southampton 3-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder, speaking to Sky Sports: “We were beaten by the better side. We were up against players playing at the top of their game. Obviously we’re not.

“We had a good bit of possession at the start of the second half. I think we had the best chance in that period. Sander Berge should have scored. If he had, that changes the dynamics of the game.

“I’m not deflecting anything away from us. Individually, players aren’t playing anywhere near how well they can play. We’re scratching around to try and find the right system, but I thought they were really good as well.

“We went to a narrow four in midfield to put a bit more pressure on their players. I thought it was our best period in terms of competing and getting close to them, but a misplaced header and they countered on us. I don’t think Aaron [Ramsdale] can do anything with that finish [for the second goal].

“We have to keep going. We can’t just keep talking about it. As a team we’re not showing nearly enough of what we can produce. People keep saying things are tight. I thought they were brighter, sharper. If they didn’t get to the first ball they got to the second. It allowed them to control the game.

“Players doubt themselves individually and as a collective. That’s only normal, but we have to snap out of it. We have to look at our next game to try and get that win to get that belief and improve the confidence in the side.”
