    Man City 0-0 West Brom

Rodri picks the ball up and looks up to see Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling with their arms raised, ready to nip in towards the back post.

The midfielder misjudges the cross and it's a wasted opportunity.

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

West Brom aren't quite sure what to with Kevin de Bruyne at the moment because he doesn't really have a position when City are in possession of the ball. When they are out of possession, he always finds a defender in position, so he's so hard to mark.

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

A corner for Manchester City. What can they do with it?

They're forced back well by West Brom and have to patiently start again from their own half.

They do so succesfully - and they'll have another corner - but again West Brom resist.

Pleasing enough start for Slaven Bilic's side.

  4. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

City build through the middle but West Brom have everyone back behind the ball.

There doesn't seem to be an opening until Kevin de Bruyne gets on the ball and knocks it through to Gabriel Jesus. Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he's offside.

Martin, South London: That West Brom kit... MY EYES!!!

Dom: Are we just not going to comment on that West Brom kit? Looks like it was designed by a toddler on a sugar rush.

Karlan Grant cost West Brom £15m on transfer deadline day.

But the former Huddersfield man was bought to score the goals to keep the Baggies up, not waste chances like that.

I have seen the Baggies three times this season - and have yet to see them find the net.

  7. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

A big chance for West Brom. Will that wake the hosts up a bit?

Pep Guardiola's side haven't shown too much urgency in possession so far.

City have now gone nine hours and 35 minutes without conceding a goal, but that almost went there.

Wolves matchwinner Pedro Neto to Amazon: "We are very happy. We come here with joy. We want to win so much and we worked hard.

"It was very difficult. We knew Chelsea are a good team. The whole team did very well."

  9. CLOSE!published at 8 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

    Oh hello!

Ederson is forced into a great save after just eight minutes.

Karlan Grant is put through into the box as the Manchester City defence parts.

It's such a great opportunity, but his low shot is well stopped by Ederson.

  10. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic said he wasn't getting "signals" that is position was under threat following Saturday's defeat by Newcastle.

Of course, he is unlikely to be judged by results against the likes of Manchester City - but they'll be keen to avoid a heavy defeat at all costs this evening, if only for morale.

A very relaxed start to this match.

Benyam: Poor defending that from Zouma! Neto is clearly left footed. Zouma should be closing the outside much faster. Very poor.

Russell Gowers: That was brilliant. Amazing counter attack from Wolves. Chelsea just look so shaky at the back in spite of Mendy. If this was a United result, they’d be calling for Ole to go, but it’s Super Frank, so I’m sure it was just unlucky.

Raji: At what time can we start saying Timo Werner is overrated?

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester City haven't yet hit the standard we would expect them to hit. They haven't been quite as ruthless when they are one up, they usual go two, three, four goals to the good. Again, pegged back a bit, not hit forth gear but they are getting there.

  13. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

Joao Cancelo is not quite quick enough to beat the ball to the byline as City attempt their first adventure into the Albion box.

West Brom attempt to build something of their own but Karlan Grant is flagged offside.

  14. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Man City 0-0 West Brom

Will this one go as we would expect?

    So far, yes.

Man City are dominating the ball and not letting West Brom anywhere near it for now.

So frustrating, I would love to know how many games Chelsea have lost after going into the lead in the first half, happens too often.

    Lukas, London

Pedro Neto! Is an all round better player than Jota, is proving it this season.

    Thanks Tom!

After all that late drama and injury time at Molineux, there's only moments before the second Premier League game of the evening gets going at Etihad Stadium.

Next up, it's 10th-placed Manchester City against 19th-placed West Brom.

Marcooni: That's 8 points Chelsea have dropped from the last 12. Is their table position just a fluke.

Dax Fullbrook: The way this season is panning out i’m waiting for Sheffield Utd to break into the top two at some point.

Ben: Six points dropped in three days.
