There has been a lot of speculation about Slaven Bilic's future since the start of the season when the Baggies chief failed to get the players he wanted during the transfer window.

Despite a record £45m outlay, much of the money was spent on players who were already at the club on loan.

The players Bilic did bring in - specifically Karlan Grant and Branislav Ivanovic - have failed to impress, leaving West Brom in the relegation zone and facing an immediate return to the Championship.

Bilic's contract expires at the end of the season and he admitted yesterday there have been no conversations about an extension.

It is not the ideal backdrop ahead of tonight's trip to Manchester City, where West Brom have lost on their last nine visits and not won since 2003 - when the Blues still played at Maine Road.

Pep Guardiola and Slaven Bilic had a good chin-wag when they bumped into each other doing their pre-match TV interviews.

They stood together for about five minutes and there was a lot of arm-waving and laughter.

Am guessing it will be a bit more serious when they come out for the match.

Adama Traore is going to play as the sole out and out striker. He's a versatile character alright. Can Wolves find a way back to goal though?
