    West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 12 Premier League matches, their worst run since a 14-game stretch between May and November 2017.

Down to nine men, they are having plenty of defending to do in the closing stages of this game.

Liverpool have had 200 passes in the final third tonight...

    Tottenham have had 19!

    200 against 19!

That is what you call a stark contrast...

  3. CLOSE!published at 80 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

And another good chance for Spurs goes begging! Moussa Sissoko handles in midfield but we seem to have forgotten about that rule for now, it's played forward to find Harry Kane on the left of the area. Does he handle it? Play on. and he does, curling low and hard and very, very close to the back of the net but wide!

Liverpool are getting very frustrated. They are chasing the game. Tottenham are dealing with it very, very well. Tottenham have had the best chances in the second half but it's all Liverpool at the moment.

  5. Postpublished at 79 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

Is it possible to have 23% of the ball and still think you should win? That could be the case for Tottenham tonight. Superbly organised, well drilled, but with enough of a cutting edge to hurt Liverpool as well.

Those two chances they missed in this half could prove crucial.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:34 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Fulham 0-0 Brighton

Antonee Robinson picks up the game's first yellow card for his late challenge on Tariq Lamptey.

Fifteen minutes to go in this one and Aleksandar Mitrovic is on now for Fulham, replacing Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Dr David: Benteke off? Commentator kiss of death...

Two awful decisions by the ref for the red in the WHU v Palace match. An absolute joke. Not good enough at this level!

Some superbly committed displays out there. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg wins a tackle on the edge of the area, is fouled, but still makes sure he makes the header away while on the floor. Phil Jones-esque.

First time Sadio Mane has got a little bit of space. He's a big player for Liverpool, he can change this game.

Kaushik: A fan of Mo Salah but that guy needs to learn to shoot with his right foot!!!!

If Liverpool's finishing had been better tonight, they'd be out of sight. Mind you, one might say the same about Spurs!

  11. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 74 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

Ahhh, it's almost brilliant. Sadio Mane rolls Serge Aurier, spins into the area and smashes in a shot from a tight angle which cannons away off the top of the bar!

A corner is given, though I couldn't see a touch.

It's a good game now. Liverpool still slightly on top but Tottenham carry much more of a threat than they did in the first half. They are really in the game. It's turned quite physical, a lot of challenges going on.

  13. RED CARD FOR CRYSTAL PALACEpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Christian Benteke

The Crystal Palace scorer is off!

Challenging for a ball, Christian Benteke catches Tomas Soucek in the face and the striker is shown his second yellow card.

Palace are down to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining.

The pattern is set. Roberto Firmino has a shot blocked, Spurs clear the first line and Harry Kane has it on the half turn. One pass would send Son away but he can't quite get it right...

In a 54,000 capacity stadium with only 2,000 permitted to attend, there is one lone voice continually screaming, "Sit down Mourinho, sit down Mourinho!"

It's been so intense it wouldn't be a surprise that legs are tiring. First Gini Wijnaldum takes a slack touch and then Harry Kane lets the ball run under his studs in the centre-circle.

His gaff is nearly important as Jordan Henderson seizes upon it to send Mo Salah away, he's into the area but can't generate any power in his shot and it's easy for Hugo Lloris.

  18. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Sebastien Haller scoring a worldie and Christian Benteke a striker bang in form, 2020 is not yet done with strange goings on.

This one is pretty even since Haller's equaliser.

  19. 'Huge chances'published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Two huge opportunities for Spurs, one from Steven Bergwijn and another from Harry Kane. Will they rue not taking them?

You do not get as many as good as that at Anfield and you have to take them - which Jose Mourinho knows judging by the look on his face.

  20. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham

Into the last 25 minutes. Liverpool are fortunate not to be behind but can they go on and win this? Roberto Firmino smashes in a shot, hits it well but it's always straight at Hugo Lloris.

Serge Aurier was whacked in the face in the build-up by Andy Robertson's knee. Compelling stuff.
