Anwar el Ghazi does great to create that half a yard of extra space and it would have been interesting to see how Nick Pope would have dealt with that because it was hit with some venom.

It's been an excellent start by Villa. They have dictated play.

Jack Grealish is playing a bit more centrally tonight. Pinning down an out-and-out position for him was what was holding him back in terms of playing for England, in my opinion. A cert for the squad from now on though surely?

Look at the way Burnley are set up. They have every man behind the ball are making it very difficult. They try and get the ball forward on the counter attack and are dangerous at set plays.

Burnley have been under the cosh since the off but here's their first real attack. It breaks to Dwight McNeil on the left, his cross is excellent but hacked away.

It's all Villa so far. Ollie Watkins finds a pocket of space on the right of the area, his cross is blocked, comes back to Watkins who beats his man this time and flashes a shot/cross that skims across the goal and is pretty close to going in!

Burnley defend so well. They have numbers back and are very resolute. Bertrand Traore had a bit of space on the edge of the box but Burnley get bodies in the way.

Jack Grealish, seemingly forgetting that he's the captain of my fantasy team this week, slides into a challenge that risks a booking but he gets away with it on this occasion. He won the ball but it was a lunge on Robbie Brady.

Jack Grealish runs at Burnley, there must be six yellow shirts between him and the goal and he takes them all on. His shot is blocked, Ollie Watkins' follow-up is also charged down and Burnley smuggle it out for a corner.

From the set-piece Bertrand Traore spanks a shot just wide! Good hit.

Villa have been so inconsistent particularly at home. Villa Park has been a difficult stage for them. You feel this is going to be a key test for them. Burnley will be flying high after the win at Arsenal. They will try and frustrate Villa.
