Relegated from the Premier League last season, Norwich City are on the march seeking an immediate return.

The Canaries are very much on song, heading into this one on the back of three consecutive victories.

Daniel Farke's men have lost just once in 14 games to climb the table following a mixed start to the campaign.

Win tonight and the Norfolk side will go three points clear at the top of the table.

But hosts Reading are in the thick of the play-off picture and have won two of their past three.

Blackburn have started a mini slump in December, losing their past two league matches.

The last time Rovers tasted defeat three games on the bounce was back in July this year.

But tonight the formbook suggests an easy win for Tony Mowbray's team. They face a Rotherham side who have lost 42 of their last 56 away Championship matches.

And the Millers have lost their past six on the road in the league.

    One-way traffic then, surely?

    M'boro 0-0 Luton

Hang on. Chance at the Riverside.

Middlesbrough's Dael Fry heads a Paddy McNair free-kick across goal. The ball eventually rebounds back to the defender who hooks over from close range.

Apparently there was a deflection. We'll have a corner.

Five minutes to go. No updates to tell you about.

    Sigh.

  9. Postpublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

Under 10 minutes to go until the break in our two 19:00 GMT games.

Great response. Maikel Kieftenbeld picks the ball up just inside Cardiff's half. This time he passes a long ball forward and Lukas Jutkiewicz does well to chest it down.

He lays it off to defender Marc Roberts who finds some space before drilling it into the bottom corner.

    Finished it like a striker.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:31 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Cardiff 1-0 Birmingham

Now a yellow for a Cardiff man. Leandro Bacuna gets a caution after a high challenge on Ivan Sanchez.

Moments later Blues' Maikel Kieftenbeld has a go from 35 yards.

    Nowhere near the target.

  13. Postpublished at 19:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

And in our other game still playing, things have gone a little stale between Middlesbrough and Luton.

Duncan Watmore hasn't really had a sniff yet.

The former Sunderland forward scored twice in Boro's 3-0 win over Millwall on Saturday.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:26 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Cardiff 1-0 Birmingham

Not much has happened since Cardiff's early opener in South Wales.

Brimingham's Jon Toral has just gone into the book after a late challenge on Marlon Pack.

Was rather unnecessary. Pack was in his own half.
