League Two update
Points safe for Tranmere at Bolton as James Vaughan scores a penalty to put them three-nil up.
Still deadlock at The Lawn between Forest Green and Crewe.
Luton 0-0 Bournemouth
Dominic Solanke hasn't had too much to sing about today but as the ball was pinged into the box by Lloyd Kelly, Bournemouth's top scorer can only direct the header wide.
Disappointment for the Cherries.
Brentford 3-1 Reading
Brentford butcher an opportunity, too many options, not all on the same wavelength, and Reading get in to smuggle the ball away.
Twenty minutes to go.
League One update
Plymouth have the worst form in the EFL after six-straight league defeats but they have hope of snapping this disastrous run.
Ryan Hardie has given them the lead against Milton Keynes.
League Two update
Good game at Rodney Parade as league-leaders Newport are pegged back again, Conor McAleny scoring Oldham's second equaliser of the day.
And Kieron Morris puts Tranmere two-up at Bolton.
Tom Lees (67 mins)
Brilliant goal for Sheffield Wednesday and Tony Pulis can almost taste the three points.
The free-kick from the left side, just outside the box by the D, was arced to perfection to the back-post by Barry Bannan, and Tom Lees steamed in to power the ball into the net.
League One update
Charlton have turned things around at The County Ground with Chuks Aneke putting them in front against Swindon.
Taylor Richards has given Doncaster breathing space at Burton, they lead 3-1 now.
And Mikael Mandron has put Crewe ahead at Wimbledon as they chase a third-straight victory.
Sone Aluko (64 mins)
Is that the moment where Reading roar back?
Lovely ball in from the left by Ovie Ejaria, curled into the space and substitute Sone Aluko meets it unmarked and guides beyond goalkeeper David Raya. 3-1.
Victor Adeboyejo own goal (66 mins)
That will probably be enough for the hosts.
It's yet another own goal, this time Victor Adeboyejo goes to head the ball away at his near post but it flicks off the back of his head, across goal and in.
League Two update
Colchester and Morecambe began the day level on points but with the visitors in better form.
Yann Songo'o has put them back ahead about three miles outside Colchester.
Sheff Wed 0-0 Coventry
Leo Ostigaard has taken up a seemingly solo mission to give Coventry maximum points here, but it's been denied by Liam Palmer, the Wednesday man clearing off the line.
More like it.
Wycombe 0-1 QPR
How are Wycombe not at least level in this match?!
Seny Dieng denies Darryl Horgan this time.
Brentford 3-0 Reading
Dominic Thompson is played in by Bryan Mbeumo for Brentford, but Cabral denies him as he tries to push it toward the far post.
Got caught by the keeper too as he limps away.
And, as Alan Partridge says in The Day Today from the racing at Marple. "Oh... its raining."
Neil Etheridge OG (56 mins)
As I watched this unfold I found myself letting out an audible "oh no"... And I think that tells you almost all you need to know.
As an inswinging corner comes in from the Middlesbrough left, Birmingham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge - under no pressure, I hasten to add - fumbles his attempted catch over his head and into the corner.
There's been some horrible defending and goalkeeping this afternoon and I think that may well top the lot.
Brentford 3-0 Reading
The rain seems to have subsided a bit, at least at the Brentford Community Stadium.
There's a fair trickle though from the schnozz of Mathias Jensen after he copped an elbow, inadvertently.
The Bees man certainly getting his nose stuffed with those little tubes of sponge. Andy Morrison walloping him.
League Two update
Cheltenham are going well again after the calamity of their play-off second-leg surrender back in the summer.
But they were beaten at home by Bolton on Tuesday and now find themselves two down at Barrow as Luke James scores for the hosts.
And whatever was said to Walsall at half-time clearly worked because in no more than 11 second-half minutes they are level at home to Port Vale as Dan Scarr equalises.
Wycombe 0-1 QPR
Huge chance for Wycombe to equalise but Scott Kashket heads over when well-placed.
Swansea 1-0 Barnsley
No doubt mindful of the busy festive schedule, Barnsley boss Valerien Ismail has subbed off his entire front three.
Sheff Wed 0-0 Coventry
If I am contractually obliged to provide an update on Sheffield Wednesday versus Coventry, then let me inform you it is still goalless.
Luton 0-0 Bournemouth
Bournemouth's Lewis Cook almost took the net off when he scored his last goal, a thunderbolt against Reading, for the first time since 2016.
He's just showed why he doesn't get so many... thrashing over the bar after a corner is cleared his way.
