Quote MessageSt Johnstone have lost their zip. Maybe Dunfermline are just becoming more encouraged, but St Johnstone have certainly dropped in pace.
Dunfermline 0-0 St Johnstone
Dunfermline are enjoying their best spell of the game and it's St Johnstone who are having to throw bodies in the way to block. Lewis Mayo and Kerr McInroy both fire efforts at goal.
Still no goals but an intriguing game at East End Park.
Alloa 1-0 Hibernian
Kevin Cawley scampers away down the left for Alloa, but Paul McGinn gets back in time to force his opponent into a sclaffed cross.
No discernible improvement from Hibs so far.
Dunfermline 0-0 St Johnstone
A nice move from Dunfermline. Josh Edwards goes on a run from defence, passes three players, but it's a poor attempted pass from him.
However, the ball rebounds behind him to Kyle Turner who thumps a shot at goal and Liam Gordon puts out a leg to block it.
Alloa 1-0 Hibernian
Jon Robertson's cross flashes across Hibs' goal but there are no takers for Alloa.
The part-timers continue to impress.
Dunfermline 0-0 St Johnstone
An out-swinging ball from David Wotherspoon finds Jason Kerr, who gets up highest but his header is straight at the goalkeeper.
The game is beginning to open up though and Dunfermline are getting forward too, although they haven't really threatened Zander Clark yet.
Alloa 1-0 Hibernian
Peter Grant's Alloa are 45 minutes from a HUGE upset. Can Hibs respond?

Quote MessageDunfermline's defending is much better. St Johnstone are not getting so much time and space to put balls into the box.

Dunfermline 0-0 St Johnstone
Chris Kane finds space about 20 yards out and smashes a shot towards the near post and almost catches Dunfermline goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams out, but it hits the side netting.
Dunfermline 0-0 St Johnstone
Nothing of note in the first few minutes of the second half...
Hibs very much failing the 'Can they do it on a cold Tuesday night in Clackmannanshire?' test.
Paul Hanlon's own goal means they trail Championship part-timers Alloa.
Alloa 1-0 Hibernian
Stefan Scougall is a great little player, as many of you will well know. He's causing Hibs a lot of problems down the right-hand side with his dribbling and crossing ability.
Alloa 1-0 Hibernian
Alloa have been great. Very well organised, and when they get the ball, boy can they play.
Lee Connolly fires one goalward, but Ofir Marciano saves comfortably.
Alloa 1-0 Hibs
It's definitely an own goal from Paul Hanlon. He's pretty unlucky as Kevin Cawley's shot hits off him, but poor defending in the first place from Hibernian.
The story of the first half is St Johnstone have been the more dangerous side but have met a solid defensive performance from Dunfermline.
Saints, though, should have taken the lead when Murray Davidson had a header from five yards but he spurned his chance.
For all Saints' chances, Pars goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams hasn't had much to do.
Kevin Cawley
Hello!
The capital slayers are at it again! Lovely play from Stefan Scougall as he jinks past his man down the right to deliver a cross, and the ball falls to Cawley via a touch from Liam Buchanan.
Cawley's shot is initially saved by Ofir Marciano, but the ball finds its way in - possibly off Paul Hanlon!
