Everton break with numbers and Richarlison uses his pace to get away on the left. He teases Tomas Soucek and cuts back, winning a free-kick as he's clipped by Soucek's flailing leg.

James Rodriguez curls it in but it's away by Angelo Ogbonna... again. Yerry Mina then heads the following cross miles wide.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 79 mins

Cenk Tosun is on for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has had a very, very quiet night for Everton.

I wouldn't worry too much if I was Jarrod Bowen.

It's tough to step up from the Championship to Premier League football, but I think he's handled it brilliantly.

  5. YELLOW CARDpublished at 78 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

Michail Antonio is taken out by a needless sliding tackle from Tom Davies.

Declan Rice takes the free-kick from the left but it's terrible. Barely makes it into the box.

Nice from Everton. It's moved across the box quickly and over to Seamus Coleman on the right.

He floats it into the centre but guess who is there again for West Ham? Angelo Ogbonna. Best man on the pitch for me tonight.

When it's as cold as this, as a substitute, your warm-up is so important.

You have to say of all three substitutions that had already come on, Antonio has shown straight away he has done his warm up properly and both Andre Gomez and James Rodriguez have clearly warmed up properly as well.

Tom Davies gets away with it a bit as Said Benrahma robs him of possession and looks to set off a two-on-two break.

But Benrahma comes through the back of Davies a little and it's a foul.

"One this group gets its first taste of major success, I am very confident they will get the winning bug and go from strength to strength."

Jarrod Bowen's new year's resolution was definitely to play 90 minutes one day wasn't it?

Michail Antonio and Tom Davies clash heads near the touchline but both look okay. Those changes - the introduction of Antonio and James Rodriguez - have added a bit of energy at least.

Angelo Ogbonna has put a few decent headers in today. The corner comes in from James Rodriguez but Ogbonna gets there first, ahead of Yerry Mina and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He wins a free-kick too.

    That's what he gives.

Michail Antonio capitalises on an Everton mistake in midfield and tries to curl it into the bottom right corner through the legs of the defender.

Jordan Pickford has his eye on it the whole way. Everton go up the other end and win a corner.

    Noooo. Has to do better.

Pablo Fornals plays it out wide to Jarrod Bowen. He chips it back into the middle for Fornals, who is completely unmarked but he heads it miles wide. Has to be on target!

  19. Postpublished at 64 mins

    Everton 0-0 West Ham

It's one pass forward, two passes backwards at the moment from Everton. Jordan Pickford tries to cut a few players out with a driven ball to Richarlison but it comes all the way back.

Eventually, Abdoulaye Doucoure spreads it out wide and it's cut back to Seamus Coleman, who forces a save at the near post. Better.

Richarlison's header falls for Pablo Fornals but again his volley is comfortably for Jordan Pickford.
