Burnley have never really got going but West Ham have been impressive.

They look fresh, dynamic and fluid in the movement causing Burnley plenty of problems.

The pitch is heavy and Leeds do play a lot of long balls so it's hard to hit the ball with distance and with the pace on them that they want. Brighton play that short passing game and play in little triangles so it's suiting them down to the ground.

It will be interesting to see if Marcelo Bielsa changes things at half time or if he sticks with the same game plan. Brighton are probably thinking they should be 3-0 up.

Neal Maupay is the second Brighton player to score 10+ away Premier League goals after Glenn Murray (11).

He has scored more league goals against Leeds United (four in five apps) than any other opponent in his career in England.

Maupay has also scored in each of his last three league appearances vs Leeds and in his last two at Elland Road.

The better side lead at the break. Leeds have work to do.

The whistle goes for half time and it is advantage West Ham thanks to Michail Antonio's early goal.

They almost had two but Angelo Ogbonna's header hit the post.

Leandro Trossard is back on after a bit of treatment. It's with Leeds on the far side and Raphinha goes down clutching face after a challenge from Alexis Mac Allister.

Nothing in it.

Nice build up play from Burnley, whose passing has improved as the half as gone on, but Johann Gudmundsson's finish isn't great as he hits a tame effort straight at Lukasz Fabianski from just outside the box.

A couple of minutes to go until half time.

Luke Ayling then catches Leandro Trossard late. He's into the book.

Few feisty challenges are going in near the left touchline, causing both managers to shout frustrations at the referee but all in good nature.

Pascal Gross comes out on top in the latest 50-50 to win Brighton a throw-in but Leeds eventually get it away down the left through Raphinha.

Robbie Brady pinches the ball off Jarrod Bowen and swiftly finds Chris Wood 25 yards from goal. The striker takes a touch and hits a decent effort just wide.

That's as close as Burnley have come to a goal.

Leeds haven't offered anything and Brighton have dealt with the conditions well. The pitch is cutting up and it seems very sticky. There's a lot of water on it. If Brighton go in at 1-0 at half time they'll be thinking 'well, why haven't we come in at 3-0?'

Stuart Dallas gets to the byline but Jack Harrison's pass is just too heavy. He can't keep it in play.

The game has gone a bit flat.

West Ham are inches away from a second goal as Angelo Ogbonna hits the post with a header after Jarrod Bowen's corner is flicked on. Big chance.

Leeds have conceded 14 league goals at Elland Road this season, as many as they shipped in 23 home games last term.

Oooh, Aaron Cresswell has his blushes spared after what would have been quite an outrageous own goal is ruled out because of offside in the buildup.

Cresswell flicked Chris Wood's cross into his own net but the linesman's flag comes to his rescue.

Burnley have seen more of the ball since going behind but haven't really done anything to worry Lukasz Fabianski in the West Ham goal.

Good work from Jack Harrison to win the ball back on the right and turn away from trouble. He gets a big roar from Marcelo Bielsa.

Leeds switch it over to the left and Lewis Dunk has to concede a corner with a header at the near post.

Joel Veltman slips on the dodgy turf and loses the ball in a good position as Brighton had numbers in attack.

He keeps running though and slides in to block Leeds' ball down the line as they had hoped to counter.

Brighton have been excellent so far - apart from an early chance for Patrick Bamford Leeds have offered nothing. They're well off the pace and Brighton are just controlling the game. It does look a very heavy pitch though.

Ben White robs Raphinha and drives all the way into the Leeds box before his shot is blocked by Luke Ayling.

Brighton definitely turning up the gears.
