    James Maddison

It's one long ball from Marc Albrighton.

Jamie Vardy goes down under pressure from Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva but James Maddison is left unmarked behind them.

It comes through to him in the box and he takes one touch before slotting it into the far corner.

    Again, too easy.

Don't want to cause a row but I think the guy in the other dugout would do a better job than frank.

What sort of performance is this from Chelsea? Playing it like a Sunday kick in the park. Zero intensity, sideways passing and letting people run off them all the time. How can players at this level not even run around and track players. You learn this at U11s. Absolutely shocking

    Leicester 1-0 Chelsea

    Phil McNulty

Remarkable from Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel. He spotted opposite number Edouard Mendy was going to start a Chelsea counter-attack and was actually running out of his area before the ball was even released.

This awareness meant he was well outside his area and, with a booming shout to clear his defenders, headed clear in spectacular fashion.

  8. CLOSE!published at 34 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Chelsea

First real chance for Jamie Vardy. He gets in behind and tries to chip the keeper but there's not enough legs on the ball to get over the line.

Antonio Rudiger can mop up. Vardy may have been offside anyway.

  9. CLOSE!published at 33 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Chelsea

Much better. Probably Chelsea's best chance of the match so far.

Christian Pulisic plays a nice one-two in the middle, threads it through to Callum Hudson-Odoi and he smacks it into the side-netting.

Needed to do better with the finish.

Christian Pulisic is having to drop really deep to pick up the ball. He's just won a free-kick in his own half.

  13. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Chelsea

Harvey Barnes weaves inside off the left and tees up Marc Albrighton. He's a long way out but has a go.

It's turning in the air slightly and Edouard Mendy takes no chances, tipping it over for a corner.

Wesley Fofana then gets the better of Ben Chilwell but the former Leicester defender recovers to concede a second corner.

Are these players playing for Frank, half of them look like they are out for a Sunday stroll. This is the worse Chelsea team for a long time, unless they improve rapidly this could get messy tonight. I hope I am wrong.

Chelsea are playing like a side who know the managers time is up. Players aren't focused, the play is sloppy and they're not fighting for Lampard.

James Justin robs it off Callum Hudson-Odoi but he can't find Jamie Vardy at the other end.

  20. 'We are improving'published at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2021

FT: West Ham 2-1 West Brom

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce, speaking to BBC Sport: "If anything disappointed me in the first half we didn't pass the ball like we did against Wolves. We didn't put West Ham under enough pressure but in the second half we did."

"We are improving as a squad since we have been here. What we must stop doing is being the biggest conceder of goals in the Premier League and until we decide to stop that one it is going to be very difficult.

"The point would have been precious today because Manchester City next is probably the most in form team. We can play at our very very best and still get beat by a team like Manchester City. We will plan for it and give it our best shot."

On not being able to play Robert Snodgrass and trying to bring in more signings: "At the end of the day he is a great signing. It is what he is going to give us between now and the end of the season.

"There's lots of trying. Like many other clubs we are trying to sign better quality players, lifting the quality of this team is essential."
