There was a period when Newcastle were beginning to come together under Steve Bruce but they've gone through another one of those runs and you can't go on those runs as a number of managers have found in the Premier League otherwise you are under massive pressure.

Have they had a player were they've thought they can really trust him to get a decent number of goals each season? I'm not convinced that they've had that yet.

They have some creativity in the team but have they got a style and a sophistication about them, a lot of time no and in the end they sometimes just end up throwing it long.
