    Miguel Almiron (57 mins)

    Newcastle are level!

It's a classy move from Steve Bruce's side, too.

They pinch it off Leeds in a dangerous area, Jonjo Shelvey finds Callum Wilson, who pops it first time into the path of Miguel Almiron and the winger squeezes an effort beneath Illan Meslier.

The first play of the second half just sums up this Newcastle team. Kick off taken and then booted straight to the opposition. No options in attack and no confidence to keep possession and build patiently. Time for fresh ideas and only a new manager will make this happen.

    Newcastle 0-1 Leeds

Jonjo Shelvey floats a corner into the Leeds box but it's hoofed hight into the north east sky.

Miguel Almiron gathers on the edge of the box, wriggles free and fires on target - their first of the day!

    Crystal Palace 1-2 West Ham

Pablo Fornals finds Jarrod Bowen on the edge of the box. He manages to turn but his shot is blocked.

Said Benrahma then threads it through for Michail Antonio but he's put too much on the pass. A thumbs up from Antonio for his idea though.

How can a team like Leeds, bereft of consistent Premier League financing for 16 seasons, hold an aggregate 6-2 lead (at present) this season against Newcastle? Simple - a respected coach. A plan. And they are not owned by Mike Ashley.

    Craig, Gateshead

Anyone know how long Bruce has left on contract?. Paying him off will be only reason he isn't sacked in the morning.

Vladimir Coufal and Christian Benteke clash on the edge of the box and there's a quick VAR check. Nothing comes of it.

It's just not falling for Wilfried Zaha. Again, he tries to play in Luka Milivojevic but he can't turn and get a shot away in the box.

Zaha lifts it across the box again from the left but Christian Benteke won't get there. More intensity about Palace now though.

    Oh wow!

Leeds go storming forward, Stuart Dallas has a shot blocked and it rebounds back off him, up on to the crossbar and over the line.

Anthony Taylor blows his whistle, but for a handball by the Leeds man.

Simon Atkins: Bruce has got to be next for the chop. Newcastle have been absolutely abysmal, and with teams below them having games in hand, they could easily find themselves going down if they don't improve soon.

Rob Gibson: It’s simple, Leeds players run their socks off, Newcastle don’t. Hendrick and Shelvey literally walk around the pitch. Embarrassments.

Matt Dawson: It's really hard to believe Newcastle were once a team that challenged for titles, no effort from the players, owner, or the club. Seems only the fans care about the club now, and it shows in the recent fortunes of the club.

There's a nasty knock here between Gary Cahill and Cheikhou Kouyate as they both go for the same ball.

Both are sitting up but they are being assessed properly by the medical staff. It was a wincing moment.

  17. CLOSE!published at 47 mins

    Crystal Palace 1-2 West Ham

Eberechi Eze picks up a loose ball in the middle and West Ham are in trouble. He lays it off to Wilfried Zaha. He takes his time but hits it straight at Lukasz Fabianski, who is out sharply to close him down. The ball isn't out of play yet as Zaha tries to feed it into Christian Benteke but again, Fabianski gets the block in.

Newcastle are like 6 year olds with a ball for the first time in the playground. Watched by the head that hasn't a clue about football.

You have to give Moyes credit for reigniting this West Ham side and his career. Glad to see him at his very best turning this West Ham side into a tough team to play against.
