  3. 'It was an onslaught at times'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker to BBC Sport: "We missed elements of our game. In the first half we had control about us – played our way. We lacked in duels and battles, we were second best.

"We addressed that at half-time. We showed that in the second half, we had more resilience, but lost the other side. We couldn’t get a foothold. We had to defend an awful amount. It was an onslaught at times.

"Am I fully happy with the overall performance? No, I’m not. I’m satisfied as can be with the point.

"There’s a lot of football to be played. I understand the importance of these games – you can’t lose. We gave ourselves a chance with that opportunity at the end. Would it have been smash and grab? Maybe.

"Alphonse Areola has had to pull off some big saves. Big players have to do that. Lewis Dunk has defended with his life."

  5. 'We showed great courage'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

FT: Manchester United 1-2 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United match-winner Oliver Burke on BT Sport: "Amazing result, really was a must win for us and I'm chuffed for the boys, they put in a great shift. Amazing feeling and amazing for me to get the goal, I am buzzing for the boys and hopefully we can take that into our next games.

'We showed great courage and great determination. We show great character and never stop, every game we have showed great football but just not taken three points."

  6. 'We put a shift in'published at 22:15 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Everton 1-1 Leicester

    Everton

Everton midfielder Tom Davies: "Tough game, we put a shift in. We had a few chances to win it. But we had a few chances to lose it. We’ll go again.

"They had a lot of the ball but didn’t create many chances to hurt us."

  7. 'Glorious chances'published at 22:15 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton captain Lewis Dunk tells BT Sport: "You look at the glorious chances we had in the first half and we need to go in at half time winning.

"We didn't concede and kept a clean sheet so it's a point and it would've been a big swing for either side to win.

"It's frustrating that we haven't won at our ground. It used to be an absolute fortress in the Championship and we need to make it like that again."

On his goal-line clearance, he added: "That's just as good as a goal for me. Luckily I was there at the right place to clear it off the line."

  8. 'This has given Sheff Utd a springboard'published at 22:14 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

FT: Manchester United 1-2 Sheffield United

    Vicki Sparks
BBC commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

Could we see one of the greatest escapes in Premier League history?

It has given Sheffield United a springboard to survival.

There were big celebrations at full-time but it will be back to business as usual but this will give them real belief.

Moan or groan about it as we all do: you just have to love the unpredictability of the Prem. Well done Blades!

    Tim

We brought in a great striker. And we leave him on the bench and start Martial. Look at the difference Zlatan made. Cavani should be starting as long as he's fit. Poor decision. City going to run away with it.

  10. 'This will not define the season'published at 22:13 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham manager Scott Parker tells BT Sport: "In the first half we played nice and had control but we were not good enough in duels or the dirty side of the game.

"In the second half we got that but then lost the other side and found it hard a bit. I thought we defended extremely well against a good side and at the end we had a big chance.

"We were playing against a very good side and we had to defend a lot of set plays. It's a clean sheet and we get out of here with a point. Am I completely happy? No, so there's lots we need to improve on.

"There are 19 games left and this will not define the season. There's still a lot of football to be played and this is a young team that doesn't have a lot of Premier League experience."

  12. 'Leicester miss Vardy'published at 22:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Everton 1-1 Leicester

    John Acres
BBC 5 Live reporter at Goodison Park

Both sides will be delighted with a point.

Leicester have probably had the best of the play, slightly fortunate with the goal, I thought Jordan Pickford was unlucky.

Leicester do look like they miss Jamie Vardy as the focal point.

Speaking as a Manchester City fan, what an excellent evening of football!

    Gordon, Burnage

Let's be honest Sheffield United are terrible and the title is nowhere near. Two terrible goals conceded: one a foul and one a deflection. It's over, top four at best.
