    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

Brighton almost score and it would have been controversial. The Seagulls have a free-kick, which Alexis Mac Allister takes from the wrong place and possibly while the ball is still moving.

Neal Maupay does us all a favour by shooting over the bar instead of scoring.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Everton 1-0 Leicester

A further blow for Leicester. Wilfred Ndidi has been limping for a while and now he goes down and can't carry on. Nampalys Mendy takes his place in midfield.

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

It's about 2,000-900 thumbs (20:53) in favour of making 0-0 draws a result where nobody gets a point. Somebody let Fifa and Ifab know.

    Manchester United 0-1 Sheffield United

Almost superb that from Bruno Fernandes, he runs beyond the last line of defence and is picked out by a lovely ball over the top, he hooks back a volley really smartly but Anthony Martial, under heavy pressure, can't get much on his header and it loops up for Aaron Ramsdale to pouch.

It's because one was a foul and the other wasn't.

If Ramsdale is pushed, how was it not a push on De Gea? Consistency needed.

Fulham make a change as Mario Lemina replaces Harrison Reed in central midfield.

  8. Postpublished at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Manchester United 0-1 Sheffield United

Manchester United tee up Bruno Fernandes on the edge of the area but for once one of his shots is charged down.

    Everton 1-0 Leicester

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at Goodison Park

Everton's season has been built on resilience, as much as James Rodriguez's guile and Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goals.

This match, so far, is another example of that, after weathering the early Leicester onslaught.

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

I've always had a theory that neither team should get a point for a 0-0 draw. We'd have more goals if teams knew you had to score a goal to get any kind of result.

Thumbs up if you think that's a good idea. Thumbs down if you think I'm an idiot.

    Manchester United 0-1 Sheffield United

It's been a very flat response from Manchester United since they went behind. Yes they are dominating possession but are yet to spark any real threat at all.

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

I once heard a colleague pronounce Pascal Gross as Pascal Grob. Anyway the corner comes to nothing.

    Everton 1-0 Leicester

In the ever-changing top-four picture between teams once/now managed by David Moyes, that puts Everton above West Ham and into fourth as it stands.

Joel Veltman down the right for Brighton and he cuts it in for Pascal Gross, whose shot is blocked by Harrison Reed for a corner.

What a beauty by James Rodriguez! It goes like an arrow. Brilliant strike and brilliant goal!

    James Rodriguez (30 mins)

A beauty! Leicester have been the better side but Everton have an ace in the pack and he's back fit and firing.

James Rodriguez looks to whip in a ball from the left of the area and it's actually not a good cross. Wesley Fofana for once takes a poor touch/clearance though and it comes back to the Colombian.

He looks up, takes aim, and just passes it into the far corner from 20 yards.

    Dreamy finish.

  17. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Manchester United 0-1 Sheffield United

Aaron Ramsdale drops a corner and Anthony Martial turns it in but Ramsdale was impeded by Harry Maguire.

  18. Postpublished at 20:45 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

Well it doesn't fizzle out, it just slows down. Eventually they get it into the box, Ivan Cavaleiro jinks past a couple but then just stabs a shot at the feet of Robert Sanchez.

  19. Postpublished at 20:44 Greenwich Mean Time 27 January 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Fulham

Pascal Gross whips in a decent corner which Fulham's keeper punches away. That sets up a quick Cottagers counter which eventually fizzles out.

    Manchester United 0-1 Sheffield United

Sheffield United have scored their first Premier League goal against Man Utd at Old Trafford since Franz Carr netted in a 2-1 defeat back in February 1993.
