jbrdz: Mount is objectively the highest rated player for Chelsea this season and, after Kane, Sancho and Grealish, the 4th highest rated English player this season. Gets a lot of unfair criticism. Not surprised he is starting.

Dwight McNeil tries to get Burnley going but his cross is cut out by Thiago Silva before it can cause any serious damage.

This is not a thriller.

Edouard Mendy did not have a serious save to make against Wolves in the last game. The keeper is having another quiet shift. Burnley have yet to register an attempt.

A busy start by Thomas Tuchel's side. Five attempts in the opening 15 minutes or so.

Nick Pope is starting to get busy. After keeping out a drilled attempt by Timo Werner, the Burnley keeper is down to collect Mateo Kovacic's shot.

Corner to Chelsea after an attempt by Callum Hudson-Odoi takes a deflection and sails over the bar. Then Thiago Silva gets on the end of a cross but his header is well over. Chelsea are starting to find some rhythm.

Marvin Happe: Burnley already look much more threatening than Wolves last week. This is the Dyche effect.

Burnley will be happy with this start. Chelsea haven't been allowed to get going so far while the Clarets certainly do not look as though they have come to defend. They're pushing forward at every opportunity and Jack Cork gets on the end of a cross but it's harmless.

Talking of Mason Mount...he is making his 50th Premier League start for Chelsea today. Will he mark it with the first goal of the Tuchel era?

First shot in anger and it's from the returning Mason Mount who lifts it over the bar from just outside the penalty area. It followed a lovely move involving a quality pass by Mateo Kovacic.

Chelsea's attacking plan appears to be simple - get the ball to the feet of Callum Hudson-Odoi. He's looking lively but his latest delivery into the Burnley penalty area is over-cooked.
