    Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Stoke City

Blackburn go close to turning this one around.

Lewis Holtby prods one just narrowly over the crossbar after Adam Armstrong found him in space.

    Into the closing minutes.

  2. goal

GOAL: Nottm Forest 3-1 Millwallpublished at 16:48 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Ben Thompson (89 mins)

Millwall get a consolation. It's a curling corner which is beaten away by Brice Samba, but only as far as Ben Thompson.

The midfielder takes a touch on his chest before thumping the ball home. They'll at least avoid the big duck egg.

  3. goal

GOAL: Derby 0-1 Rotherhampublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Jamie Lindsay (86 mins)

Rotherham finally breakthrough and it looks like an unhappy start to Wayne Rooney's time as permanent Derby boss.

It all came from Dan Barlaser's ripping free-kick, which curled beautifully onto the post and out.

Rotherham reloaded quickly and swept the ball back in, it dropped loose and there was Jamie Lindsay, denied by Kelle Roos just minutes before, to volley in.

Huge for the Millers in their survival bid.

  4. League Two updatespublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

Incredibly, Barrow are the only side leading in League Two right now.

Josh Kay's goal is the difference against Scunthorpe.

All the other games are either 1-1 or 0-0. Not a Saturday to remember in the fourth tier. Around five minutes to go.

  5. Postpublished at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Watford 2-0 Huddersfield

Daniel Bachmann has not had too much to do in the Watford goal but he gets down smartly to smother a Scott High volley.

At the other end, James Garner smashes over the top from the edge of the box.

  6. Postpublished at 16:44 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Cardiff City 1-2 Norwich City

Marlon Pack's red card really seems to have taken the wind out of Cardiff's sails as they briefly threatened a comeback.

Just over five minutes for Norwich to see this one out and pick up another three points.

  7. League One updatepublished at 16:43 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

And Swindon have pulled a goal back against Doncaster, Hallam Hope has made it 2-1.

Around 10 minutes to go and 10-man Bournemouth have made a triple change in a bid to draw level.

Luton still ahead as they go in search of a big win.

Game over for Millwall, as Forest crush them with a third.

Ryan Yates has had a few sighters to get his eye in, and finally turns one into the net in front of the Trent End, after Cafu's corner finds him unmarked.

Forest heading for three points and that'll be unbeaten in seven.

  10. RED CARD (James Chester)published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Stoke City

Stoke down to 10 men as James Chester is shown a straight red card for hauling down Adam Armstrong as he looked set to go through on goal.

A good save from the following free-kick by Josef Bursik keeps it at 1-1.

  11. Postpublished at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Derby 0-0 Rotherham

Kelle Roos soars out to gather a Matt Crooks cross, timely as Michael Smith was lurking.

Rotherham's Jamal Blackman makes an easy save at the other end from Martyn Waghorn's header.

    Heading for stalemate.

  12. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 2-0 Prestonpublished at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Zak Vyner (77 mins)

    And it's shin!

Zak Vyner pounces on a loose ball and mishits his volley into the bottom corner. No way he meant that.

That's Vyner's first goal in a Robins shirt.

It's harsh on Preston, they've barely put a foot wrong in the second half.

  13. goal

GOAL: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Stoke Citypublished at 16:38 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    John Buckley (76 mins)

    Blackburn level.

Substitute John Buckley with the equaliser just two minutes after coming on.

Ryan Nyambe's low ball from the right goes all the way across the face of goal before Harvey Elliott keeps it alive on the byline to square it back into Buckley's path for the easy finish.

    Luton take the lead.

A classy finish from Leicester City loanee Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall breaks the deadlock as he slots in a low left-footed shot past a fully-outstretched Asmir Begovic.

Not a lot the Bosnia international could do to keep that out. Perfectly placed.

  16. League One updatepublished at 16:30 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

Some more goals to tell you about in League One.

Ten-man Rochdale have just made it 2-2 against Wigan through Jake Beesley. It means Wigan drop back into the bottom four in the 'as it stands' table.

Charlton's Liam Millar has just found the opener against Bristol Rovers. Not sure it's his goal though, it looked like Jake Forster-Caskey's corner went directly into the net without touching Millar.

Elsewhere, Gillingham, Hull, Peterborough and Doncaster all remain in front.

Around 20 minutes left in most of our fixtures.

Marlon Pack sent offImage source, Rex Features

    Cardiff down to 10 men!

Marlon Pack sees red for the first time in his senior career as he is booked for a second time.

It's a poorly-timed foul in the centre circle.

  18. goal

GOAL: Nottm Forest 2-0 Millwallpublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Sammy Ameobi (70 mins)

Terrific finish from Sammy Ameobi, who curls brilliantly past Millwall keeper Bartosz Bialkowski from the right side of the box.

Nice interchange of passes with Alex Mighten worked a yard, and the Forest winger belts a ripper to double the lead.

    Big climb now for Millwall.

  19. Postpublished at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Bournemouth 0-0 Luton Town

Still goalless in this one with around 25 minutes to play.

Bournemouth with 10 men and still battling away in their bid to climb to second.

But Luton have had their chances. Could still go either way.

Simon Atkins: Now the game is long over, I can finally say it...GET IN HOGAN! For context, every time I tweet in about Birmingham being ahead, we throw away a lead. I think I've proven I'm the problem...

You've taken your time to get in touch Simon! For those who missed it earlier, Scott Hogan's strike earned Birmingham victory at Middlesbrough in the early game.
