    Bournemouth 0-0 Luton Town

Chances at a premium at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth have had more of the ball but little of note so far in terms of clear-cut goalmouth action.

A point will be enough to take Jason Tindall's side up to second this afternoon.

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Millwall

Joe Worrall bangs a shot over the bar after Ryan Yates tees him up. Forest forcing the issue but the finishing not quite up to it yet.

    Bristol City 1-0 Preston

Nothing new to tell you about from Ashton Gate.

When I say nothing, I'm serious. This game has slowed right down since Bristol City went in front.

    Norwich in charge now.

    Watford 0-0 Huddersfield

This game feels like it should be about to fire into life but it's still stuttering.

Watford have got in behind a couple of times but the key challenge has always stopped them.

Ismaila Sarr looks up for it though, marauding forward before Aaron Rowe lopps him down. They can't make the final ball stick.

    Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Stoke City

Sorry we've mentioned little of what's going on at Ewood Park so far.

    That's because.....nothing much has happened.

One header just off target from Blackburn by Bradley Dack in the opening 20 minutes or so.

    Derby 0-0 Rotherham

Rotherham's Michael Smith almost poops the big Wayne Rooney Derby party at Pride Park, but his chance is wide of Kelle Roos' goal.

Begging to be buried that one.

  8. League One updatepublished at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

Plenty of goals already to tell you about from League One.

Stephen Humphrys has put Rochdale in front but Kyle Joseph is quick to equalise for Wigan - it's 1-1 in Greater Manchester.

Peterborough lead through Jonson Clarke-Harris' goal, it's 1-0 against MK Dons.

Meanwhile, Plymouth and Doncaster are also in front against Crewe and Swindon respectively.

    Nottm Forest 0-0 Millwall

Forest have had the best of the early opportunities at the City Ground, with Lewis Grabban's shot beaten away by Bartosz Bialkowski, and Sammy Ameobi thumping wide shortly after.

No Pukki, no problem. Norwich are without their top scorer because of a thigh strain today but they have made a fine start here.

The Championship leaders could have fallen behind after just 20 seconds but were spared thanks to Harry Wilson's heavy touch in the penalty area.

Norwich then scored from their first attack, Emi Buendia's corner flicked on by Mario Vrancic and headed in by captain Grant Hanley.

Just what Daniel Farke will have wanted as his side look to extend their lead at the top.

    Derby 0-0 Rotherham

Graeme Shinnie does anything but 'shin-it' as he catches a scorching half-volley for Derby from the edge of the box.

Jamal Blackman in the Rotherham goal gets a big hand to stop it, big stop.

  14. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 1-0 Prestonpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Famara Diedhiou (8 mins)

Cracking set-piece this. Tommy Rowe fires in a cross and Famara Diedhiou rises highest to head home the opener.

Exactly what the Robins deserve. Great start.

    Watford 0-0 Huddersfield

Impressive start by Huddersfield, who move the ball about sharply in the Hornets half.

Rolando Aarons faceplants though trying to chase down a pass out wide, he'll be most grateful there are no Watford fans jeering him for it. It would have been right in front of them...

    Bournemouth 0-0 Luton Town

Bournemouth spurn an early chance to take the lead as Joshua King fails to make the most of a defensive mishap.

He suddenly found himself all alone in the Luton box, but didn't compose himself to take a shot.

  17. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Derby 0-0 Rotherham

Having done enough to earn himself the managerial reins at Derby County, Wayne Rooney has the safety cushion now of a permanent deal at Pride Park.

It's a quiet start from his side so far against Rotherham, two sides battling it out at the wrong end of the table.

  18. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Watford 0-0 Huddersfield

    Lively start at Vicarage Road.

Two teams sniping at each other, closing down quickly, decent pace to it.

Plenty of tackles flying in too... Watford's Ken Sema took exception to a challenge early on, but any aggro was swiftly moved on by the match officials.

And Cardiff punished further for that Harry Wilson miss!

Leaders Norwich ahead with their first chance and it's nodded in at a corner by Grant Hanley from close range.

Mario Vrancic headed on Emi Buendia's inswinger initally and then Hanley pounced on some defensive slackness to get the final touch.

  20. Postpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Cardiff City 0-0 Norwich City

Glorious early chance spurned for Cardiff City inside the first minute.

Harry Wilson is played through on goal but can't get the right first touch to get it under control and the ball squirms calmly straight at Dan Barden in the Norwich goal.
