I've been really surprised at how loose Belgium are defensively. If Wales had been more savvy first half and taken the space behind them they might have done better.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 75 mins

    Belgium 3-1 Wales

A first yellow card and Thorgan Hazard is in the book for fouling Connor Roberts, who has skilfully wound him up all evening.

Don't want to alarm Swans fans, but it's tough to see Roberts not playing in the Premier League next season. He's an incredible athlete.

  7. Postpublished at 74 mins

    Belgium 3-1 Wales

Jan Vertonghen cuts out a Gareth Bale cross. He's developed an annoying knack of doing that this evening.

  8. goal

GOAL: Belgium 3-1 Walespublished at 72 mins

    Romelu Lukaku

    No doubt was there?

Romelu Lukaku sends Danny Ward the wrong way.

Wales have been excellent since half-time, but one mistake has seen them fully punished.

  9. Postpublished at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Danny Gabbidon
Former Wales defender on BBC Radio Wales

I'm not sure how much contact there is there. He's someone who likes to go down. I'd like to see that from the other angle but I do think it is a penalty.

  10. PENALTYpublished at 71 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Penalty to Belgium. Chris Mepham adjudged to have fouled Dries Mertens after Danny Ward cuts out a cross. Seen a replay, it's a pen.

  11. Postpublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

I had Tyler at West Brom and gave him his debut, I think. He's very talented, he has everything. I was just a little bit concerned whether he had the mental toughness to push on and obviously if you haven't got that at Leeds under Bielsa he's not going to play you. It's really nice, I enjoy people who do as well as you thought they could if their attitude was right and he's got the quality.

  12. Postpublished at 69 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Wales have been very competitive since half-time. But Belgium look relatively comfortable. I wonder if we will see Kieffer Moore?

  13. Postpublished at 21:12 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio Wales

Bale and James are pushing a lot further forward now, really pushing onto the centre-backs.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Tyler Roberts of Leeds United replaces Harry Wilson.

  15. Postpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Tony Pulis

Every time De Bruyne picks the ball up at the edge of the box you're thinking, 'is that net going to bulge?'.

  16. CLOSE!published at 65 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Close for the hosts as Romelu Lukaku's shot is blocked by James Lawrence before KDB hits the side-netting.

  17. Postpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Vicki Sparks
BBC commentator on BBC Radio 5 Live

Dan James is really closing down the Real Madrid goalkeeper every time. Clearly that's something Wales are working on, putting pressure on Courtois.

  18. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

Best period of the game for Wales who are finding space on the counter-attack.

They are defending higher and going more toe-to-toe with the hosts.

  19. Roberts or Delap - who's got the longer throw?published at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Tony Pulis
Former Stoke manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

Rory was the best at long throws - without a shadow of a doubt.

He didn't play 500 games for a long throw but that's what he's remembered for, very effective.

  20. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 24 March 2021

    Belgium 2-1 Wales

    Danny Gabbidon

Good pressure again from Wales, pressing Courtois and forcing the mistake. There's certainly been more positivity this half, pushing Belgium higher up the pitch.
