    Wonderfully neat.

    HT: England 1-0 Poland

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

England totally controlled it. This has been England's hardest game in the group so far but Nick Pope hasn't had a save to make.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

It has not been a thrill a minute but England are getting the job done. They've been methodical and efficient.

They look far more likely to get a second goal than Poland do of finding an equaliser.

  4. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Sterling cuts in from the left and fires a shot that is deflected behind. This will probably be the last act of the half...

It is. Maguire meets the delivery but the next head on it is a Polish one, followed soon after by the ref's whistle.

    England 1-0 Poland

    Chris Waddle

Raheem Sterling gets to the byline but again doesn't pick anyone out. It's brilliant to get there but he has to start picking people out!

    England 1-0 Poland

Sterling again down the left. Bartosz Bereszynski can't stay with the Man City forward as he darts to the byline, but his low ball across is cut out.

  7. England into their stridepublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

England now looking very smooth and controlling affairs. Poland are not getting a look in. Second goal would reflect England's superiority.

  8. Postpublished at 20:27 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Poland simply have no presence up top. Nobody to hold the ball, nobody to threat, nobody to actually worry England's defence.

Lewandowski must be watching this in utter frustration.

  9. Torres on target for Spainpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    Spain 2-0 Kosovo

    Spain

A quickfire double for Spain, who lead Kosovo 2-0.

The first goal came in the 34th minute when Dani Olmo drove in a super shot from the edge of the area. Manchester City forward Ferran Torres then added a second two minutes later, finishing one-on-one.

That scoreline currently has Spain top of Group B with seven points from three games.

    England 1-0 Poland

Just gonna have a glance at what people are saying on Twitter about the game... Sterling is a cheat.... why is Kalvin Phillips playing?... This is rubbish.

    Standard stuff.

I know it's not always great to watch, but the fans of a lot of countries would be quite chuffed to be on course for three wins out of three.

    England 1-0 Poland

Not that long ago, Gareth Southgate was doing the classic manager hand signal of a vertical palm moving slowly to the left. He wanted his side playing the game higher up the field. It worked, because they are putting concerted pressure on the Poland defence.

  12. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

England are turning the screw. They work a superb opening for Harry Kane on the edge of the box and the resulting shot is on target but saved by the diving Szczesny.

    England 1-0 Poland

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

People are starting to tire a little. England have dropped off. The gameplan for England is working. Now Poland have to come out, I don't think they can.

  14. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Sterling is a real threat. He weaves in from the left and into the box but is tackled by Bednarek just as he goes to shoot.

  15. England duo linking wellpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembey

England livening up a bit now and one of the real plus points has been some lovely pieces of interplay between Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling on their left side.

  16. Postpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Nick Pope has kept six clean sheets on the bounce but he is not infallible. He hits a clearance straight at John Stones and is lucky the Man City defender has good close control.

  17. Postpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

England with a really good opening and chance to make it 2-0. Sterling is away down the left and looks in great shape to curl a shot in but instead tries to find Foden, giving a Polish defender the chance he needs to stick in a boot and half-clear.

Mount looks to follow up but he is off balance and fluffs it.

  18. Postpublished at 20:12 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Harry Kane has been involved in 30 goals in 21 qualifying matches (Euros/World Cup) for England (22 goals, 8 assists).

    Can't fault that record.

    England 1-0 Poland

    Chris Waddle

At the moment England are in control of the game but Poland have made it difficult for them.

  20. Postpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 31 March 2021

    England 1-0 Poland

Poland have a chance to hurt England immediately after conceding with a free-kick to the right of the home side's box.

Maciej Rybus' delivery is appalling, with Kane punting it away with ease. Total waste.
