Where do we start? Rangers continued their impressive run - and maintained their 16-point lead at the top of the Premiership - with victory at St Mirren. Goals from Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos enough to claim maximum points.

Celtic, with three games in hand, saw off Dundee United with strikes from Ismaila Soro, David Turnbull - his fourth in six games - and Odsonne Edouard. However, the victory came at a cost with a potential injury to French defender Christopher Jullien, who is now a doubt ahead of the trip to Ibrox on 2 January.

St Johnstone and Hamilton played out a goalless draw in Perth, while Ross County set the cat amongst the pigeons with a 2-0 win at Easter Road.

And Kilmarnock earned a morale-boosting victory for manager Alex Dyer, with a win at Motherwell.

Thanks for your company today and tonight. All the best for the rest of 2020 - we'll see you on the other side. Cheers.

  2. 'Simply not good enough' - Well bosspublished at 20:58

    FT: Motherwell 0-2 Kilmarnock

Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Sportsound: "We look like we've lost confidence completely.

"We had chances, but didn't take them. As soon as we go 1-0 down we didn't look like we were going to get back into the game.

"The penalty and the red card change what you're trying to do. You go and chase it and they could've scored more to be honest.

"It simply wasn't good enough. The players who we've signed or brought back to the club haven't turned up yet. I'm looking at a squad of maybe seven or eight players who are fighting and scrapping for the football club - and some haven't performed.

"But ultimately, it's my fault. I take the blame, it's my team. It's me who has to look at myself in the mirror - and it hasn't been good enough."

If they [Ross County] can win on Saturday, it's a tough ask against St Johnstone, it then moves them up [the Premiership table] again and brings more teams into it. I think we have a really interesting bottom the league this year...
