Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths then belts a shot wide at the other wide in a lively second half.
Celtic 2-0 Dundee United
Dundee United won't get many better chances than that.
Lawrence Shankland's cross finds Nicky Clark 10 yards out and with only the goalkeeper to beat, the striker fires horribly wide.
St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton
What a goal that would've been!
Nathan Thomas breaks with the ball from his own half and makes it into the St Johnstone box before lashing a left-foot strike high and wide of the near post.
Celtic 2-0 Dundee Utd
Celtic look hungry to put this game to bed with a third goal and David Turnbull forces a solid save from Benjamin Siegrist with a stinging low drive.
St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton
Again Callum Booth has a strike at goal, cutting in on his right foot in the box, but it's deflected and loops just over a helpless Kyle Gourlay in the Hamilton goal.
Could take something like that to open the scoring...
St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton
Another sight of goal for Saints but again it's from long range as Stevie May lashes over from outside the area.
That's the hosts' 15th shot of the game, but probably only two of those have been clear-cut chances.

Jak Alnwick keeps St Mirren in the game against his former side.
The goalkeeper palms away a close-range effort from Alfredo Morelos and Ianis Hagi has his attempt to pounce on the rebound deflected clear at the back post.
Callum Booth is doing his fair share of attacking from full-back this afternoon as he has another pop at goal.
It looked speculative at first as the left-back let fly from range, but on the replay it's closer than I thought!

Celtic 2-0 Dundee United
Christopher Jullien is stretchered off following that injury and Celtic manager Neil Lennon brings on Nir Bitton to replace the Frenchman.

There might be no crowd at the game, but you can sense the tension in the air in a game between two sides who a desperate for a win. Saints have dominated, but Accies have done what Accies do: stood firm, been resolute, and have a couple of decent chances themselves.
It's all to play for in the second half, it would be a brave supporter who tried to predict a winner in Perth.
Fed? Watered? Good to go for the second half?
Excellent, here we go again...

In a similar manner to the first goal, Dundee United failed to get pressure on the ball outside the box and David Turnbull took the opportunity in style.
He danced away from a couple of defenders and fired an inch-perfect low fizzer that clipped the inside of the post and in.
Neil Lennon must be thrilled with Turnbull’s impact since coming into the team. He’s undroppable right now, keeping far more experienced players on the sidelines and looking very much worth every penny of the investment outlayed.
United have had a couple of sniffs of goal but they seem to be sitting off the ball too much allowing Celtic to dictate and dominate possession. Change of plan required.
Both sides have failed to take the chances that have came their way in an even first half.
None of the last 13 top-flight games both sides have been drawn.
Will we see a winner in the second half?
Rangers are well on their way to retaining their 16-point lead at the top of the Premiership, but it could have been different had Jonathan Obika not squandered an early chance of the home side.
Despite St Mirren's early promise, Kemar Roofe fired Rangers ahead with the visitors' first effort on target before Joe Shaughnessy's poor pass back was pounced on by Alfredo Morelos.
A long way back for the Paisley side if they want to repeat their 3-2 success over Rangers in the League Cup a fortnight ago.
St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton Academical
Another chance for the hosts as Chris Kane opens the goal up for himself with a lovely turn on the edge of the box, but his finish is straight at Kyle Gourlay.
Celtic are cruising towards victory thanks to goals from Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull.
Both came from outside the box and while Benjamin Siegrist perhaps should have kept out the opener, he was helpless at Turnbull's low drive off the post.
