    Hibernian v Ross County (18:00)

Just one change for Hibernian this evening and it's a fairly obvious one with Christian Doidge - now free from suspension - going straight into the starting line-up as Alex Gogic drops to the bench.

Ross County have Josh Reid and Ross Draper suspended after both were sent off on Saturday and Callum Morris also drops out.

  4. Celtic doing all they can to stay in touchpublished at 16:52

    FT: Celtic 3-0 Dundee United

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

This was a comfortable and assured Celtic performance that delivered three crucial points and another clean sheet. Essential ahead of their next fixture away to league leaders Rangers, who show little sign of offering any cheap route to narrowing the gap.

Celtic's margin of victory could have been more emphatic. However, there were one or two moments that United might have exploited in a slightly improved second half show from them. Micky Mellon’s side got a little better but didn’t do enough.

Some big decisions lie ahead for Neil Lennon. Presumably he retains Vasilas Barkas in goal; the keeper had little to do overall today. Does captain Scott Brown return to bring vital experience? If so, at who's expense?

The stakes are high for Celtic and supporters will demand their winning run continues.

  5. FULL-TIME St Mirren 0-2 Rangerspublished at 16:51

Rangers head into Sunday's Old Firm derby in good heart after what turned out to be a fairly routine win over St Mirren.

There was to be no repeat of the Ibrox side's League Cup defeat in Paisley a fortnight ago, although they had to survive an early scare as Jonathan Obika scooped over.

Goals from Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos before half-time were enough to ensure Steven Gerrard's side entertain Celtic with a 16-point advantage over the reigning champions.

  6. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 0-0 Hamiltonpublished at 16:51

After an even first half, Callum Davidson will be wondering how his side haven't come away with all three points after a dominant second half which saw the hosts squander a number of a clear-cut opportunities.

Brian Rice will be proud of his backline who defended resolutely for the most part.

What a big point that could be for his side come May.

  7. FULL-TIME Celtic 3-0 Dundee Utdpublished at 16:50 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2020

Celtic earn a comfortable win with long-range strikes from Ismaila Soro and David Turnbull in the first half and a lovely lob from Odsonne Edourd after the break.

But it comes at a cost with defender Chrisopher Jullien forced off injured three days before facing Rangers at Ibrox.

  8. WHAT A CHANCE!published at 89 mins

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton

    He's got to score! No?!

The ball falls into the path of Michael O'Halloran in the Accies box, but he fails to direct his close-range effort on target.

Are we destined for a goalless draw in festive Perth?

  9. What a miss!published at 89 mins

    Celtic 3-0 Dundee United

Diego Laxalt's driven cross presents Jeremie Frimpong with an open goal six yards out, but the Celtic full-back somehow diverts the ball back towards the 18-yard line.

The linesman's belated offside flag spares the full-back's blushes.

  10. Pain for Kanepublished at 85 mins

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton

Again the hosts squander a heading opportunity as Chris Kane fails to divert a free header on target from a Danny McNamara cross.

Straight after David Wotherspoon sees a header of his own go into the near-post side netting.

  11. Hagi creates chancepublished at 82 mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

Ianis Hagi is played behind the St Mirren defence from Alfredo Morelos, but the Romanian midfielder's flashing cross has no takers in front of goal.

St Mirren, though, are not finished in this game and are camped around and inside the visiting penalty box.

  12. Celtic finally settle the contestpublished at 16:39

    Celtic 3-0 Dundee United

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

That killer third goal was an example of tremendous interplay between two strikers topped off by a sublime Odsonne Edouard finish to finally settle this match.

The through ball from strike partner Leigh Griffiths was superb allowing Edouard to muscle in behind the back line and dink the ball perfectly over Benjamin Siegrist.

The visitors have improved in this second half with Celtic looking a little more fragile at the back on occasion but Neil Lennon’s side entirely deserve the points and are heading for another clean sheet on top.

A crucial result ahead of the upcoming trip to Ibrox.

  13. Visitors threatenpublished at 81 mins

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton Academical

Accies see a rare sight of goal in this second half as Andy Winter takes aim but, like almost every shot in this game so far, it's from long range and sails over.

  14. Any more goals?published at 16:36

Celtic and Rangers are both coasting to victories against Dundee United and St Mirren, respectively.

It remains goalless in Perth between St Johstone and Hamilton Accies. Shall we see a goal at McDiarmid Park or is destined to end 0-0?

  15. Roofe threatens for Rangerspublished at 76 mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

Kemar Roofe is close to extending Rangers' lead with a volley from an acute angle. The striker might just have been trying to play the ball back into the danger area and prevent it going for a goal kick, but a St Mirren head had to come to the rescue on the line.

That's the striker's last involvement as he is replaced with winger Ryan Kent.

Celtic put the result beyond doubt with a sublime finish as Odsonne Edouard runs onto Leigh Griffiths' ball over the top, holds off a defender and lobs Benjamin Siegrist.

  17. Saints can't make dominance countpublished at 74 mins

    St Johnstone 0-0 Hamilton

There's no doubt St Johnstone have been the better side this second half, but their dominance hasn't resulted in any clear-cut openings so far as Danny McNamara sees a tame left-footed effort gathered easily by Kyle Gourlay.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 71 mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

Joe Shaughnessy receives a yellow card for a foul on Joe Aribo. As things stand, Rangers will maintain their 16-point lead at the top of the Premiership, having played three games more than title rivals Celtic.

  19. CLOSE!published at 71 mins

    Celtic 2-0 Dundee United

Another chance for Celtic as Leigh Griffiths' free-kick hits the wall and falls to Odsonne Edouard in the box, but the French striker can't find a way past keeper Benjamin Siegrist.

  20. Buddies blunt in attackpublished at 66 mins

    St Mirren 0-2 Rangers

A nervous moment for 400th Rangers appearance man Allan McGregor as he tries to allow a through ball to enter his penalty box, but winger Dylan Connolly's toe intervenes before the goalkeeper can reach down to collect. However, the midfielder sends the ball behind for a goal kick.
