I don't see Neil Lennon being the manager at Celtic next season. That's just my gut feeling. It's only a matter of time before a change is made, and it'll be when they feel they have the right person to move it forward.

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Hibernian

Celtic scorer David Turnbull tells Sky Sports: "We played really well as a team. Once we got the ball down and started passing, we played a lot better.

"All the boys did excellent. Got the goal at the end. We thought we'd got it.

"It's been strange but we've just tried to get our head around it."

  5. Frustration for Strachanpublished at 22:09 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Hibernian

Caretaker Gavin Strachan told Sportsound: "The players put a lot into the game and we thought we did enough to nick it. The sucker punch at the end was frustrating.

"We were hoping we would have enough bodies back to see that out.

Asked if the club now have a mountain to climb in their pursuit of the title, Strachan said: "Yeah, but you just have to keep going. There's a lot of football still to be played and you never know what's going to happen.

"Obviously it's a frustrating time just now but we need to get the win on Saturday, keep racking up the points and see what happens."

  6. Defeat would have been 'travesty'published at 22:06 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Hibernian

Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet tells Sky Sports: "We created a lot of good chances. Unfortunately they get their goal but we do well to get back in it.

"It's good to get back on the scoresheet and it's another point. It kind of stops the bleeding."

Lewis Stevenson, after his 500th Hibernian appearance, tells Sky Sports: "There are not many folk who have done it. I'm in good company.

"To come away with nothing would've been a travesty. I'm happy we didn't get beat. Glad we got something out of the game."

  7. Good for Hibs to 'stop the bleeding' - Rosspublished at 22:01 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2021

    FT: Celtic 1-1 Hibernian

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross is pleased that his side have managed to stop a run of three straight defeats.

"I certainly think we merited taking something for the game," he said. "So the anger and frustration is tempered by the fact we got the late goal.

"The two recent games have been sore for us, and painful because they've not been a reflection how we've performed this season.

"Tonight stops the bleeding a bit in that respect. The players just need reminded that they've done an awful lot of good things this season and hopefully tonight propels us in the right direction again."

They've got to make some big decisions now. I think all chairman and all boards - even if you're doing well - will be looking to the future. If they are, they've got to get the new person in soon.

The title is over. The best they can do is get it down to 12, with the games in hand. Can they overturn that on Rangers? I don't think anyone sees that happening. If they don't pick up points against Livingston for example, then you can start talking about being in a battle for second.

The air just seems to be going out of Celtic. It's lazy defending from Diego Laxalt to give away the free-kick. It's Celtic's Achilles heel. They don't deal with the ball well enough, and it bounces around in the six-yard box and Nisbet scores. It's the nail in the coffin of a brutal season.

  15. FULL-TIME - Celtic 1-1 Hibernianpublished at 21:35 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2021

It's all over at Celtic Park! And so, in all probability, is the title race.

David Turnbull's free-kick with nine minutes left looked to have snatched victory for a depleted Celtic side. But in classic fashion, a set piece was their undoing, and Kevin Nisbet's fine finish levelled.

Twenty-one points behind Rangers, with three games in hand. It's Steven Gerrard's side's to lose.

GOAL - Celtic 1-1 Hibernianpublished at 21:31 Greenwich Mean Time 11 January 2021

    Kevin Nisbet

    Nisbet scores!

It's classic Celtic this season. Diego Laxalt gives away a needless free-kick, Stevie Mallan swings it in. A Hibs player wins the first challenge, then Connor Hazard and a defender on the line fail to clear properly and Nisbet strokes the ball into the roof of the net!

Celtic survive a few corners. They're suddenly filled with more energy. Still time for Hibs, though, and Christian Doidge has a shot blocked before Stevie Mallan fires over.

Spare a thought for Stephen McGinn. On the pitch for 10 seconds before giving away that free-kick. BUT, Hibs have a corner...

Just when Celtic were toiling, David Turnbull steps up again. Even if this season isn't a success for Celtic, they have a player who will be a big influence for years to come.
