    Hibernian were the better side for the first 15 minutes or so, and went reasonably close through Kevin Nisbet, Jamie Murphy, and Joe Newell.

    But a Celtic side shorn of so many first-team players composed themselves, and could have been ahead themselves through efforts by Cameron Harper, Callum McGregor, and Ismaila Soro.

    They really need all three points, though.

    Having just said Matt Macey hasn't been a busy man, the on-loan Arsenal keeper has to spring into action to tip Ismaila Soro's flying effort over the bar, then another long-ranger from Diego Laxalt!

    I think Gavin Strachan will be happy so far. It's the same shape - they've obviously been working on it and this will be the system going forward. It's just the final pass or bit of movement that's missing.

    Great chance for Celtic's 19-year-old debutant Cameron Harper. Mikey Johnston robbed Joe Newell on the edge of his own box, slipped through Harper who lashed into the side netting.

    The better option was probably to cut the ball back to either Tom Rogic or David Turnbull, who were waiting to tap home. He didn't look up, though.

    Celtic have got to be quick in their passing and precise. They're not going to be able to lump the ball up to the strikers.

    Celtic's best spell is interrupted on the edge of Hibernian's box, and the visitors then break, with Jamie Murphy sending a gorgeous ball through to Kevin Nisbet on the right. The striker gets into the box and fires a low shot in on the angle, but Connor Hazard saves.

    Up the other end, David Turnbull forces debutant Matt Macey into action. It's an open game so far!

    Joe Newell then picks up some space just inside the box and manages to lash a shot goalward, which Connor Hazard beats clear.
