Best chance of the game so far as a Manchester United corner is cleared to Fred on the edge of the box. The midfielder tries to find the top corner but Bernd Leno gets across to tip behind the shot.

That opportunity came from Arsenal again giving the ball away needlessly inside their own half.

Arsenal give the ball away just inside their own half and Marcus Rashford charges forward with the ball. He has Bruno Fernandes in support and uses the midfielder but his square pass is easily cleared.

Gabriel Martinelli spots Alexandre Lacazette with space ahead of him and plays a quick pass to the striker. Lacazette surges goalwards before having a go from distance but his shot is straight at David de Gea.

Loadyloades: It's been a while since Man Utd were awarded a penalty. They must be due one.

Cedric catches Bruno Fernandes in the face with a rogue arm as the two jump for the ball but Cedric clearly feels Fernandes goes down far too easily for a second time. Definite foul, though, and the Arsenal full-back is booked.

The battle between these two looks to be something to keep an eye on, though. They've had a couple of tussles already.

The left flank is where the Gunners are focusing most of their early forays forward so far.

Steady start by both sides with neither side really imposing their dominance on the game just yet.

Grant Xhaka holds off Marcus Rashford as Manchester United try to break after an Arsenal attack comes to nothing. Rashford appear to have taken a whack to his nose but referee Michael Oliver didn't see anything wrong in Xhaka's challenge.

Mikel Arteta is looking to become the first ever Arsenal manager to win his first three league matches against Manchester United, and only the fourth to win their first three Premier League games for any club against the Red Devils, after Carlo Ancelotti, Manuel Pellegrini and Garry Monk.

His side has mostly had defending to do in these first couple of minutes, although Manchester United have largely been restricted to passing the ball around in midfield.

Luke: Major boost for United that Saka and Tierney are not playing. They may get a a bit of revenge after that utterly pathetic performance at OT last time against Arsenal.

Wolves defender Nelson Semedo: "When we had the ball and we tried to attack it was difficult for us to get into the area. We were not creating enough danger.

"We work to try to win in every game but it is difficult. We will work to try and get more points.

"We are only thinking about us but we have to pay attention to the table as we are only [nine] points above Fulham. We have to try and take some points."

Manchester City

Manchester City goalscorer Gabriel Jesus: "We did our work, our job.

"It's another three points for the pocket. We started so well but dropped a little bit. They created chances, but we worked well and won the game.

"We tried not to let them play and not create. It was important for us to stay top of the league."
