Now, the last time Reading tasted defeat in the Championship was when these two sides previously met this season at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The Royals were 3-0 down inside the opening half an hour that afternoon before they found a consolation goal in the second half.

Since then, Veljko Paunovic's side have been unbeaten in their past seven, winning four of those, including an impressive display last time out at home against Bournemouth.

Brentford meanwhile have not tasted defeat in the league since 24 October at Stoke.

It's 20 unbeaten for the Bees since then and one more of those tonight would take them top of the pile.

A huge opportunity for Brentford this evening to knock long-time leaders Norwich City off the Championship summit...

A draw would be enough for Thomas Frank's side to go top on goal difference, but a win would give them a two-point lead and also stretch their unbeaten run to 21 league games.

Reading meanwhile have a chance to further solidify their place in the play-off picture.

The Royals are currently level on points and goal difference with Watford, but their game in hand on the Hornets is this evening.

Veljko Paunovic's side are also unbeaten in their past seven league fixtures.

    Good evening.

It's been cold and chilly out there over the past few days, but fingers crossed (inside your gloves no doubt) we have a bit of a special treat for you from the Championship on this Wednesday.

Fourth hosts second as two sides with more than healthy unbeaten records go head-to-head.

Reading meet Brentford in the solitary fixture of the night and for the visitors, there's a huge incentive for coming away with a victory this evening.

Thanks for joining us - kick-off is less than 15 minutes away.
