That Oxford signing we teased a few minutes ago was worth the wait - it's Blackburn defender Joe Grayson - who has never played a league game for the club - on loan until the end of the season.

  4. Eriksen to stay at Interpublished at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

    Rob Schofield
    BBC World Service Sport

Christian Eriksen won't be going anywhere today. Tottenham reportedly looked into bringing him back as a replacement for Dele Alli, if the England midfielder secured a loan move away from Spurs, but Inter aren't letting him go.

Eriksen has struggled to break into the team at Inter, even admitting his move to Serie A a year ago hasn't been what he "dreamed of", but Antonio Conte has found a place for him as a deep lying midfielder in the last week.

His 97th minute free-kick winner against Milan in the Coppa Italia and strong display at the weekend looks to have changed his manager's mind.. for now.

  6. Dele Alli is going nowherepublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

    Simon Stone

His name has been mentioned a lot this month around a potential move to PSG but Dele Alli will be remaining at Tottenham today.

The club position has never changed on this and won't do so now.

The biggest story of the day? Probably this!

Dennis Bergkamp and Mauricio Pochettino: two names synonymous with the opposing sides of north London's footballing rivalry.

But in 2021, their respective sons hope to take a step towards becoming future stars on the outskirts of the capital at Watford.

While the Hornets look to make an immediate return to the Premier League, their talent production line is also being bolstered with some eye-catching additions.

Mitchel Bergkamp, 22, son of Ajax, Arsenal and Netherlands striker Dennis, put pen to paper on a six-month contract with Watford's under-23s less than 24 hours after Maurizio, 19, son of former Southampton and Tottenham manager signed from Spurs.

The move from Watford to Leicester City for Nathaniel Chalobah is rated as 50/50.

Not ideal for the Championship club or the 26-year-old midfielder as Watford play QPR tonight.

The move could be dependent on Matty Longstaff joining Watford from Newcastle on loan which in turn could trigger a switch on loan for Hamza Chowdhury to Tyneside.

  13. Parrott back to Spurs... then out againpublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

Tottenham’s Troy Parrott has been recalled from a loan spell at Millwall and has been sent out on loan to League One side, Ipswich.

Parrott made 14 appearances for Millwall but didn’t manage to find the net in an injury hit spell.

Mourinho played Parrott twice in the Premier League last season

  14. Who is Ozan Kabak?published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

    Ozan KabakImage source, Getty Images

So who actually IS Ozan Kabak?

He is a right-footed, 20-year-old Turkey international centre-back who has occasionally also played in defensive midfield.

Kabak previously played for Stuttgart where he won the Rookie of the Season award in the Bundesliga for the 2018-19 season.

Stuttgart's sporting director Thomas Hitzlsperger previously said: "It's incredible how worldy-wise he is for his age.

"It's astonishing. I see him every day and am amazed at how he mature he is."

Kabak, who has played 14 times for bottom-of-the-table Schalke this season, says his idol is Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.

  15. The latest on Liverpool and Kabak...published at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

    Phil McNulty
    BBC Sport chief football writer

Liverpool are still in talks for Schalke for Turkey central defender Ozan Kabak and it now looks likely that if the deal is done it will be with a loan fee and an option to buy at the end of the season.

The deal may yet hinge on Schalke persuading Arsenal's Germany international Shkodran Mustafi to move to the club.

An option to buy is not necessarily an obligation.

    Back to Liverpool it is.

  17. Any deadline-day deals unlikely for the Bladespublished at 14:04 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has just spoken to the media. The Blades had been linked with Jesse Lingard and Ben Davies so the message now is quite clear...do not expect any activity at Bramall Lane today.

"I'll do what I can for the football club to the best of my ability," said Wilder. "We've not been able to bring players in and I've got to quickly move on with the players I've got.

"You've seen the squad, how stretched it is, so no-one will be going out of the building."

We realised our editor had already put Emlyn's byline on the live text before we put those entries through. So you all knew anyway. Fail...

Anyway, back to some football transfer news. Anything happening? Anything? Please?

  19. Postpublished at 14:02 Greenwich Mean Time 1 February 2021

Enjoy the rest of your day Sham.

I don't want to ruin everyone's fun but the biggest transfer of the day has already happened this morning.

Oxford Grodno (my Fifa ultimate team) signed Franco Baresi for 255,000 coins. It's all downhill from there.

She's now reading the 'transfer window' list of signings on the right-hand side of Sky Sports News.

"S. Haller for £20.2 MILLION to Ajax? (pronounced - A-Jax), wow he must be a good player! Huntelaar, free?? Hahaha, he must be rubbish."

    Little does she know.

And on that note, Hafez checking out, Emlyn Begley is the man stepping in.

    Enjoy.
