Lowton has flown out of the blocks at the start of the second half. The Palace defence pushed up to play Ashley Barnes offside and that gave him the space. He hit right through the ball, what a great finish.

Patrick van Aanholt should have shown him to the line, he's not awake in the game.

Jordan Ayew clips a ball into the box for Christian Benteke who flicks a header towards goal but it is straight at Nick Pope.

Long, long 40 minutes ahead for Crystal Palace. Can't see them getting back into this with Burnley playing like prime Pep Guardiola-era Barcelona.

Burnley have scored as many goals this afternoon as they had in their previous 10 away league games combined.

It's not even just about the strike... The run leading up to it was outstanding. He beats one, two, three players then he carries his run on, keeps his eye on the ball and absolutely drills it into the side-netting. What a goal that is! He's been playing really well recently so he absolutely deserves that goal.

Absolutely perfect start to this game for Sean Dyche and his side. They came out the traps quickly and created a lot of opportunities from those wide areas. They have been well worth this 2-0. It's all down to Palace now. Can they do something to get back into the game? Dyche has got the team well up for it. They look up for the challenge, that's for sure.

It's very difficult to see how Palace get themselves back into it. They just don't create enough for me. They try to get it out wide but I'm not sure. I don't know where they go from here. If they don't get a goal early doors, I think Burnley will just see the game out.

This is just the third time in Premier League history that your side has led by two goal or more at half time away from home.

The whistle goes for half time and so far, so very good for Burnley.

You just think with all this attacking talent on the pitch, Palace should be creating more. They don't create enough. Just a couple of half chances. It's been great defending from Burnley.

Crystal Palace remain on the front foot as the half draws to a close, Nathaniel Clyne whips another ball in towards the box but Ben Mee is well placed to clear.

Five minutes to go until half time and you feel Crystal Palace need to pinch one back before then. They are enjoying a good spell of pressure at the moment.

Chris Dalton: This is as far as Hodgson can take Palace with this squad, something has got to change.

Nathaniel Clyne whips a dangerous ball across the face of goal from the right but Matt Lowton does well to turn it away for a Palace throw.

Michy Batshuayi then wins the home side a corner, which is played short but Jack Clork clears the eventual delivery into the box with Jordan Ayew lurking.

Jordan Ayew's shot is deflected behind for a Crystal Palace corner but Eberechi Eze's delivery is not a good one as he fails to beat the first man.

Palace are playing better now but that Burnley defence is going to be a really tough nut to crack.
