Crystal Palace are playing into Burnley's hands as they keep conceding corners. The Clarets have their fourth of the half but this time Dwight McNeil bends his delivery in too close to Vicente Guaita, who punches away.

Can't remember who it was but someone made the comment the other day that under Roy Hodgson, Crystal Palace will never be in relegation trouble, but is that enough for Palace fans? Another season of knocking around in mid-table as things stand. It's a comfortable existence, but not the most thrilling.

Vicente Guaita punches away another Burnley corner and the ball falls to Matt Lowton on the edge of the area but he doesn't connect well with his first-time effort and the ball goes well over the bar.

Kevin Smith: Palace are so so poor without Zaha almost as bad as Liverpool are without virgil van dijk.

Andre: Sometimes I think Palace should sell Zaha just because they can't seem to operate without him.

Good goalkeeping by Nick Pope as he sticks out a boot to deny Christian Benteke's strike after the Palace striker had battled his way into the box to get onto Michy Batshuayi's ball.

Dwight McNeil sends the ball into the area from the free-kick and Scott Dann takes no chances this time, nodding behind to give Burnley another corner.

Again, Palace's defending is unconvincing as Ben Mee almost gets on the end of the delivery.

Matt Lowton plays a good ball down the flank for Jay Rodriguez to chase. He holds the ball up, waiting for his team-mates to get into the box and wins a free kick off Patrick van Aanholt.

You just get the feeling that Sean Dyche has got his team so up for the week ahead. They are first to everything. Palace just haven't even started yet.

Burnley have taken their foot off the gas a bit now, and why not? They are two goals to the good and looking comfortable. Incredible opening 20 minutes by the Clarets.

Matt Dawson: Okay, who did it? Who kidnapped Burnley? This can't be Burnley, they've scored twice in the first 10 minutes. This can't be real, it's very suspicious. Burnley are flying now though.

Luka Milivojevic wins the ball midway inside the Burnley half, he quickly finds Christian Benteke, who drives towards the edge of the area before hitting a decent low strike that is held by Nick Pope.

This is impressively relentless stuff from Burnley. Crystal Palace have barely got out of their own half.

Burnley hadn't scored in the first half of a Premier League game in 2021 before today, and now they have two goals inside the first quarter-of-an-hour. They keep coming forward too, this could get much, much worse for Crystal Palace.
