This is the run that Liverpool are on - they haven't been clinical enough. When they've been on top in games they haven't finished them off. This game would've been out of sight if it wasn't for Aaron Ramsdale - it's another great save again there from him he's having a great game.

Aaron Ramsdale has been the busiest man on the pitch. But Liverpool remain without a goal and Sheffield United are giving this everything.

Another important block by Aaron Ramsdale to keep out Mo Salah who had got behind the Blades defence.

Then Trent Alexander-Arnold finds space inside the box and forces Ramsdale into a great save.

Chris Wilder will like what he has seen.

The Premier League's bottom club have asked questions of last season's champions and Adrian has had to make two decent saves.

Aaron Ramsdale is off his line quickly to belt the ball clear before Curtis Jones can pounce after a quickly taken throw-in eventually lands at the feet of the midfielder. Ramsdale went in where it hurts. Good goalkeeping.

Adrian has done well - he's not played a lot of football and he's made two really good saves there to give him some confidence. One from the in swinging cross from John Fleck, he punches it away and then the second phase is defended really well.

It's all a little bit scrappy. The home side are making their physical presence felt but Liverpool are guilty of giving away too many silly free-kicks.

One big chance for Roberto Firmino. Not much else so far.

That's encouraging for Sheff Utd.

A first-time attempt by David McGoldrick hits his team-mate Oli McBurnie on its way towards the net but Adrian is down to shovel it away.

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool are dominating possession. Curtis Jones is busy in midfield but the Blades are doing a decent job at the back limiting chances to the Reds.

Aaron Ramsdale what a save - Ethan Ampadu is a lucky lucky boy, Roberto Firmino gets through and that would've been Liverpool 1-0 a few months ago and that is the difference at the moment for Liverpool. Firmino will score those nine times out of ten but that one time he hasn't was today.

That's more like it.

Liverpool get their first glimpse of goal through Roberto Firmino who really should score but Aaron Ramsdale does well to block his attempt with his legs.

Last season Firmino would have scored that with his eyes closed.

Phil Jagielka is starting against the Reds.

Aged 38 years and 195 days he is the oldest outfielder to start a Premier League game against Liverpool since Ryan Giggs in September 2013 (39y 276d).

Very little from Liverpool in terms of attacking threat so far. They're doing their usual thing of spraying the ball around but nothing to report in terms of attempts.
