    Reading 0-0 Everton

Reading have really grown into this game after a slow start and Danielle Carter meets a near-post corner with a flick-on that was begging to be put away by a team-mate but there was no one on hand.

    Reading 0-0 Everton

Abbey-Leigh Stringer wins a free-kick in the Reading half but Everton go backwards and concede a throw-in deep in their own territory.

Emma Mitchell's cross causes problems for Everton keeper Tinja Riikka-Korpela but she punches clear.

    Reading 0-0 Everton

Just as I typed about Everton bossing matters, Reading break and could easily be ahead.

Danielle Carter threads a ball through for Amalie Eikeland who holds off an Everton defender and has a clear sight of goal but Toffees keeper Tinja Riikka-Korpela gets down well to save low.

    Big chance, that.

    Reading 0-0 Everton

Everton are producing some neat football early on here, some tidy triangles out wide but Claire Emslie's cross is over-hit.

  5. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Reading 0-0 Everton

Everton have had all the possession so far in the opening exchanges.

Their midfield of England pair Izzy Christiansen and Jill Scott, on loan from Manchester City, would be the envy of most WSL sides.

Kick-off slightly delayed here at the Madejski but both sides are on the pitch now so we should be under way shortly.

    Reading v Everton (14:00 GMT)

Reading are unsurprisingly unchanged from the team that won 2-0 at Manchester United seven days ago.

Everton, however, make two changes from the side disappointingly held 1-1 at home by Birmingham City last Sunday.

Alisha Lehmann, a recent loan signing from West Ham, and Abbey-Leigh Stringer are the players to come in, replacing Grace Clinton and Nicoline Sorensen.

Reading XI: Moloney, Mitchell, Cooper, Woodham, Bartrip, James, Fishlock, Eikeland, Rowe, Harding, Carter.

Subs: Nayler, Leine, Roberts, Childerhouse, Flores, Bruton.

Everton XI: Korpela, Wold, Sevecke, Finnigan, Turner, Christiansen, Scott, Stringer, Lehmann, Gauvin, Emslie.

Subs: Pedersen, George, Boye-Hlorkah, Magill, Sorensen, Raso, Graham, Clemaron, Clinton.

    Reading v Everton (14:00 GMT)

Both sides head into today's game in mixed form, perhaps unsurprising given their respective positions in the middle of the Women's Super League table.

Reading stunned Champions League-chasing Manchester United with a 2-0 away win last weekend and held Arsenal 1-1 recently but have also dropped points in draws against lowly duo Bristol City and Aston Villa as well as being thrashed 5-0 at home by Chelsea.

Everton, meanwhile, began the season with four straight wins but have dipped since and were held 1-1 by Birmingham last weekend after defeats by Arsenal and both Manchester clubs in recent weeks.

The Toffees and Royals shared the points in their previous meeting this season, both goals coming in the space of three minutes just before half-time in a 1-1 draw, Reading's Tash Harding cancelling out Simone Magill's opener for Everton.

    Reading v Everton (14:00 GMT)

The two sides who meet at the Madejski Stadium in our first game are locked together on 18 points in mid-table.

Everton, however, have a better goal difference and two games in hand on the Royals.

Toffees fans might harbour the slimmest of slim hopes that they could breach the gap to the three Champions League qualification places.

But that would require a pretty flawless second half of the season from Willie Kirk's side - starting, they will hope, with victory in Berkshire today.

    Aston Villa P-P Arsenal

We should have had three matches to report on today but Aston Villa's home game against Arsenal at Walsall's Banks's Stadium has fallen victim to the big freeze across the Midlands.

Aston Villa's home Women's Super League game with Arsenal is postponed because of a frozen pitch.
