I'm made up for the guy, can't think of a nicer guy to get to the 100 caps first.

    FT: Wales 1-0 Mexico

Wales centurion Chris Gunter told Sky Sports: "I am living a dream I never dreamt I think, it feels fantastic. It is nice to get the win it makes it even more enjoyable.

"Winning is the main thing, it's been a tough week.

"I thought we were outstanding and fully deserved it.

"To share the pitch with players I've shared the pitch for so many years, it's very special for me. I'm lost for words really."

I don't think anyone has done themselves any harm, they're giving Robert Page and Ryan Giggs options. It's going to be tough selection for the Euros. The squad is deeper than we might have thought.

    There we are.

Mexico fire wide with the last kick of the game through Hirving Lozano.

A very good friendly win for an experimental Wales side and a clean sheet for Chris Gunter on his historic night.

We will bring you some reaction as soon as we get it, so stick with us for a bit.

Wales win a corner and should be able to see the game out from this situation with 90 seconds remaining.

What I like about these young players is they're not afraid to get involved. The Mexicans have scrapped a lot and the Welsh haven't been frightened of it.

Another player who has done himself no harm tonight in terms of winning a place on Tuesday? Ben Cabango. So composed.

Hector Herrera's header balloons up and is easy for Wayne Hennessey to gather.

I think knowing what Wales have now, it makes your mind up that Ben Davies is going to be the left centre-back.

    Wales 1-0 Mexico

This is one of the better Wales performances in a friendly in recent years.

Mexico are ranked ninth in the world and if they hold on, this will be a nice win.

It's been a very good performance - we'd hoped it would be. It's been fantastic for Wales and every player who's stepped on the pitch has done their part and they deserve it.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 86 mins

    Wales 1-0 Mexico

Forget what I said about the three windows for substitutions.

Wales make their final change. Jonny Williams receives treatment and is replaced by Connor Roberts. Looks precautionary.

Why risk Gareth Bale? It might simply come down to him wanting to be involved in Chris Gunter's big night. They are big pals.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 84 mins

    Wales 1-0 Mexico

Diego Lainez is on for Edson Alvarez and mercifully, I think that's it for the substitutions. You can make six, but I think only in three windows, now passed.

    Phew.

I think this reiterates Gareth Bale's love for playing for Wales. A lot of players would have just taken tonight off but it shows how much he loves it and wants to be here.
